I love Iranian culture. Iranian culture is amazing and it is a product of many millennia of civilization, which makes Iranian people amongst some of the most civilized people on God's earth. I have never been to Iran but it is definitely one of the "must visit country" on my list. Love you Iranians. Dooset darum.

Very interesting information about Iranian culture and custom. As an Indian, I really like and admire Iranian culture and hospitality from what I have seen and heard from other travellers feedbacks as well as posted by people like you, although I have not visited your beautiful country till now. In your video, the sound the ladies were making once the bride said yes, is that made through rolling the tongue? Why I asked is because this same sound made by women of South India particularly older women in villages when they assemble for some religious or auspicious family gatherings for celebrating birth of child etc. The taroof part was also informative because there could be misunderstanding and confusion with travellers from other countries if they donot pay for the services taking the taroof from the taxi person on face value and going off without paying, but still I think it is part of ur wonderful ancient culture of hospitality to show that the services was given not for the money alone, but with goodwill as well. Lots of love to Iran from India

Maybe..but you would still be expected to pay. It's a dumb practice we have. So if someone actually said ok thanks and leave without paying...the taxi driver will get pissed...eventhough he offered.

Yes 😅 And the interesting thing is, when you reach the destination and accidentally forget to pay, they'll say: "Ghabel nadare!" ( means don't mention it ); but they actually mean: "Hey! You forgot to pay! Give me my money!"

I never learned taarof living outside Iran, and it still scares me to deal with Iranians just because I seem rude. One time a lady wouldn't let me pay for a cookie at a store, and after 5 minutes I thought ok, maybe she just wants to give me the cookie... nope.

In the US. - 1st time and it's a "no", it's a done deal. Goes to the next girl. - throw water at the person, it's a water fight just got started. - when the taxi driver says don't pay, the rider will be gone in 1 second. Sometime the taxi driver doesn't even have to say it - when someone is in your back, you are getting robbed. I rather be in Iran minus all the political stuff.

(1) That is weird, not in our culture. (2) If the bride didn't say YES the first time, they will be a big problem for the rest of the couple life. Ha ha.... (3) As for Tarouf, I think I will just accept it and got out of the taxi after asking 2 time. I'll probably get killed in IRAN within days.. :D (4) that happened too often in our country, so nobody apologize, I guess we are rude. Ha ha... Hey Sara, First of all you need to improve your English and then make a vlog. Lots of thigs that you say in English are not correct. Either you have major Grammatical mistakes or the pronounciations or the choice of words. Your vlog comes across as very negative and it's like you are being critical of Iran and its people and traditions, very harshly. Could it be becasue your English is not that good and your choice of words are completely wrong. Like 4 things I hate about Iran. Why would anybody hate things about their country or culture. That shows Iran in a very negative light to people who are not familiar with our culture and traditions. Or 4 weird things people do in Iran. These are our traditions. It's not weird for us, because they are our traditions, although it might seems weird to forigneres because it's not their traditons and they are un-familiar with it. As other's traditions could be weird for us. But again when you say they are weird, that means you disaprove of them and again it shows Iran in a negative light. I know that not all of traditions and culture is ideal and perfect but so is every other culture. Why are you critical of your own culture is beyond me ?? Why would you want to show Iran in a negative light again it's beyond me. Like I said earlier, it could be that becasue your English is not that good and your choice of words are not appropriate, thuse your vlogs and explainations are very negative and critical towards Iran, its culture and its people which is embarressing. Please either make your English better before making these vlogs again or don't make them at all. Thank you.
