4 YEARS ALONE & OFF GRID in the CANADIAN WILDERNESS | SELF BUILT CABIN & YURT, BRICK PIZZA OVEN (FULL BUILD), NATURAL PREGNANCY, AND NATURAL BIRTH - • 4 YEARS ALONE & OFF GR...
Jake and Nicolle are living off the grid and building their own DIY homestead in 3 locations: the Canadian Wilderness / temperate rainforest, tropical jungle, and on a 36 foot sailboat named Appa. We started 4 years ago in 2019 and have built our own carport, yurt, 2 cabins, brick and cob wood fired pizza oven, wood fired wok stove, custom salmon smokehouse, kiwi trellis, log shower, wood shed, outhouse, and permaculture style raised bed garden and fruit tree orchard. We were pregnant last year and this year and gave birth to our first baby earlier in the year at our tropical "bug out" property. This video compilation is a time-lapse catching you up on 4 years of our life start to finish. Next week we will be taking you with us on our first sail in Appa our 36 foot cruising cutter blue water sailboat! So happy to now have our baby Fox as a part of our family! Starting in episode 164 is the construction of our off grid permanent forest home made from recycled shipping containers...please join us!

All I can comment is you two are the epitome of a power couple!!! Such an AMAZING team! When Nicolle got in that tub I was astonished to actually watch someone tap into their very core. She did that with such precision with a beautiful poise & the way she expressed how joyful that made her feel, my very thought was she’s one strong woman. I’m only 3 hrs in lol but as far as I can see, you two are so blessed to have found each other. What life is all about. Looks like what true love really is. So much jars work went into building such a wonderful functional homestead with all the amenities possible. But all that hard physical labor doing all that by yourselves also comes with a price. Sending prayers and good vibes for your shoulders, backs, knees, and ankles! Good news is after you’re broken and tired most of the hard labor will be finished! Having children will eventually help lesson your load by providing help on the homestead too. I pray one of your children will one day accept and take over what you worked so hard to build.

I’m excited for the fact that these 2 have worked hard to get where they are and what they have. I love how they both have allot of common sense as thats what a vast majority of this stuff is. I also love how they work together as a team, but what I love the most is that this channel has over 2 million subscribers which means they’re banking some really good money every month from KZbin. So when the haters come in and start attacking them, just think about how much money your making them by watching, liking or even commenting on their videos. Keep up the great work you 2. The thousands upon thousands of dollars your making every month from this channel, you’ve both earned it and the haters who constantly complain about what your doing on “your channel” obviously have no job and have no idea what it’s like to actually go out and work for a living. Either that, or they have a job and can’t stand it. More than likely, they’re probably all leftist and living off the government. Either way, you both have my upmost respect as I know the leftist (haters) are just to lazy to put one foot in front of the other to make a difference in their own lives. It’s called “old fashion manual labor.” Of course, the haters know nothing about that. Keep making videos and raking in the profits from all of your hard work. They can say whatever they want, but what they can’t say, is that your not hard workers and pretty wealthy from KZbin. I admire you both for your common sense, massive skills, and well earned income. Keep up the great work.

Living off the land, minimal outside contact. No nosey neighbors, nobody all in your business, no drama, no headaches, no smog, no roads, all peaceful vibes, being one with nature, no harming the earth, no abundance only taking what is needed to survive and leaving the rest. Honestly, I can understand it’s not for everybody but definitely a lifestyle worth living, loving, and appreciating. Refreshing to say the least. I admire the motivation, dedication, and satisfaction this must bring you from accomplishing and building your family and home. I like how these videos don’t feel like you’re just trying to get views either, no attention seeking or click bait. Just 2 people, now 3, being one with nature and good vibes/energy. We had a friend come for a few months he wanted an experience of living off the grid… He was my long time friend Matt… And Nicolle was off on a run one morning and tripped. When she fell, her knee hit a large sharp rock which sliced open her entire knee. She was in the middle of the forest so pretty dangerous place to be wounded with lots of big cats and bears around… She needed three internal stitches and eight external stitches

What do you mean natural? It was kinda long video, so I probably missed it but I saw a lot of dependence on batteries, cutting trees, burning wood, let alone the hospital and the transportation for all the materials. It does not look different than leaving in a farm.

@jerkface8051 Жыл бұрын
@@GeorgiosD90A farm is “bought and owned property.” You have to pay land taxes on that sort of thing. Where they are, it’s free land, no land taxes, and they don’t have to answer to anyone. I swear there is always one of you in every comment section. You know that negativity leads to stress and stress leads to heart attacks and strokes. Someone always trying to shoot someone else’s hard work down. I don’t see you out there living off the grid. Its truly a testament to your popularity when subscribers will spend their weekend or two binge-watching this new 10 hour video on the lives youve built! Its unfortunate that I only have a 20 minute attention span, lol! But maybe in 6 months I will have finished watching, lol. Now its time to convey to everyone that what youve accomplished can be somewhat duplicated by virtually anyone of any economic class. Where would you be without donations and subscribers? This is the point you would have your greatest impact as few may experience this. Show us maybe some subscribers or others youve met along the way and how little help they have had and little money put up and yet what they have accomplished. Perhaps far less but still something worth sharing with us. Also, more off-grid cooking recipes. Especially "Stuffed Mushrooms" since you have an abundance of mushrooms. Lastly, when you go sailing around the globe and stop in some remote beaches, PLANT SOME SEEDS of things that are perennial or will regrow easily and are non-native. Like "Johnny Appleseed," should you return to that same spot again someday when your children are grown, you'll be able to enjoy some wild vegetables & fruit or shady tree and have a memory to tell! Take Care Again you two, all Safety At Sea, and Best Wishes!

Jake, Nicole, & little Fox... Thank you so much for putting this huge episode together. I did miss quite a bit because of life's circumstances, & am so happy I can see what I've missed. I did miss Nicole's pregnancy, & engagement, & I'm sorry for that. So thank you for taking the time to put this together. I'm looking forward to watching this entire episode. You two have been an inspiration, & I envy your lifestyle, & journey. God bless, stay strong, & in love, enjoy life, work hard, & prosper. I'm almost as excited to watch this episode as Nicole was to build the yurt.... Love you 3❗💞

You guys are inspiring, and I think you are one of the best examples of not only how to live a more simple, natural, and rewarding life, but also proof that all you need is love and dedication for and to each other to really be happy. Your son is adorable, and absolutely hilarious! Reminds me on my son, who just tuned 1 last month. How do you think they paid for all the materials and food and sustained themselves before and during the destruction and remake of their home in the wilderness? Do you really think that electric plywood making machine, cutters,chainsaws, woodchippers, plywood , windows, doors, cement, etc.. was free. Sponsors , machine manufacturers, and you tube pay them more than most people make in a decade. They're paid an incredible amount of money to live their dream lifestyle. They're likely given free training each step of the way because more viewers makes more money for the advertisers and sells more big ass machines so that more wilderness can be annihilated.

@@lisatate3619 Well aren't you a ray of sunshine? Look closely at the level of sheer physical labor that it takes to build their life and lifestyle no matter the origin of their equipment. You are more than likely a walking product advertisement for your lifestyle choices! Think about the way that you present yourself to the world by the clothes you wear and the car you drive and the home you live in. Your hard work is also an example of the need for resources that you receive through the labors and representation by other members of society. Don't pass judgement lest you be judged by your peers as well. Wondering if you work AS hard or harder for your lifestyle than Jake and Nicole? Wondering if you understand what they are sharing and teaching without judgement and solicitation? We all have free choice - they work DAMN hard for their choices and the extreme effort it entails to share this with the world. Thank them for their knowledgel, expertise, and desire to make this world a much better place than when they arrived here. Peace, love and understanding.

I adore Jake and Nicole's show! Their life-style is very inspirational, and their masculine and feminine energies are balanced in a beautiful way. The two seem to create and build their dream in harmony with each other, their baby, and nature. One question that I have for them is this: as their adorable baby grows, and as they possibly have more children, they would need to socialize with other children and adults; to discover friendship and the society of other human beings. Also, as life goes on, Jake and Nicole may themselves need to see a doctor, a midwife, or a dentist on occasion. Have you ever considered creating a community of like-minded people, like-minded professionals, artists, intellectuals and craftsmen such as yourselves? Wouldn't that be amazing to live in a community like that? We were so inspired by the off-grid living concept that we decided to build just such an off-grid eco-village of liberty- and nature-loving creative and respectful people in Cape Verde on the Island of Santiago, a few hours' flight south of the Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa. Our village is located on pristine, virgin mountain slopes, surrounded by stunning mountain gorges and peaks and with a glimmering view of the Atlantic Ocean. The mild climate allows for out-door living year round. Check us out at Vale do Sol. We can be found here: facebook.com/groups/1033648747200853

they can socialize with each other and the woodland animals, they will learn a great deal living like they do far more than any grade school would teach as what were taught isn't needed as an adult anyhow the whole curriculum needs changed! As for meeting and socializing when there old enough it would be time for them to move on their own if there interested and most likely will be as we always want what we don't have or think we do till we get there lol. If a study was done on children who grow up off grid vs children who grow in cities, you can bet the off-grid child is absolutely well rounded and happier.
