Good Video. Nice Info. Thank you Professor. Here in Mysore (South India) Sir Vishweshvariaha built the KRS Dam to regulate the Kaveri River. Such Dams needs to be built in Rivers of Nepal. My suggestions: 1) Invite companies from India & other countries to invest in Nepal. 2) Seek Investment for Dams Roads Infrastructure Hydro plants Heavy Machinery Helicophters Drones &Herbal Medicines. 3) For every investor investing a particular sum, there must be attractive incentives in tourism sector when investors visit Nepal

This guy seems like a non conformist conservative fella. Let’s take the numbers aside. Nepal lies below one of the largest mountain ranges in the world and is habitable unlike Patagonia, Antarctic, Arctic and a few others. There’s a huge potential here to generate electricity well enough for Nepal and definitely a huge asset and can be exported and generate income. The only question is who’d come and invest billions of dollars and build infrastructures to meet the potential. There aren’t much places around the world like Nepal has with its innumerable river, rivulets, falls very few miles.

No you were not fooled. Though we are not sure how much megawatts (due to lack of study by government) but we are damn sure the true potential is very huge, more than what we can ever consume. Not just hydropower we have huge potential for Solar and Wind energy which are considered Green Energy in the world market and we can be very proud of that. If we have the will power then we can be the world leader in Green Energy, so let not assume the pessimistic view as shared by Professor shab.

He may have some logical arguments on his side but I cannot agree with Dipak Gyawali in totality. We have actually seen the direct overall improvement on all spheres of Nepali population which is starkly noticeable and worth the weight in gold. In comparison Dipak comes from a very privileged and affluent Nepali family background and his argument will sit well there but it serves no good for the rest of the other Nepali population. We need to harness this potential to its maximum to improve and uplift the general Nepali population. It cannot just be dismissed and ignored just like that.

Have you watched our carpet export's, Nepal who thinks they can't export anything and only import. Does even make more money by exporting carpet yearly then what they could with hydropower. Not only that, according to a research paper, at one times the carpet industry calculated for 20% of the job's in Nepal. That would have been impossible if our economy was as big as India or china. We can make a good wealth by our lower quantity niche and authentic product. But we have to invest a ton for startup's and marketing abroad. Which is much chapter then no job or wealth generating hydro or not necessary airport's. Also, there is the fact of rising land cost in Nepal, which also is related to our economy and manipulation.
