I saw a youtube on the collapse of the mechanical watch bubble. They also mentioned the prices of some classic cars from the 50s & 60s crashing. It turns out people with money today are younger and dont have the same sentimental attachment or nostalgia for classic 50s & 60s models cars. I have a feeling this is going to happen to the Raf bomber.

@@haroldgrey134 I’m sure! I don’t take any of these for granted. Very few things hold their value over decades or more. In fashion it’s even more fleeting I think. For example, I’m always surprised by how cheap it is to get some very old McQueen pieces. I was also looking at prices on vintage Chanel leather jackets recently and was shocked by how cheap they were. All of that is to say, maybe the Riot bomber is the one piece that holds 10k+ value - as some McQueen grails, older couture gowns etc do - but as a whole category raf archive will likely die to some degree, some day.
