Okay I love it right there at 3 minutes and 50 seconds right after you got finished pouring it all out! That is what I do free hand with my watercolorwhen I drop the color onto a wet multimedia sheet and watch it just bleed out and then I dropped even more color and more color until they are merging and swirling and then I take pigma micron pens after the watercolor has driedI line art it I use all kinds of zentangle line art to define or add to whatever I see in the flow of dried paintand what you just did right there at the beginning is the effect I try to get by breaking the pieces apart and first doing the color and then letting it dry and then coming back a week later and grabbing up a bunch of them and doing the line art on each one so what you did there you're accomplishing in one fell swoop what I have to do separately but I love it that gave me a lot of inspiration!

Hi Pamela! At first I loved watching pours but thought I would never actually do it myself because of the extreme amount of wasted paint. This is gorgeous! I was thinking about if you had more of those little cups set up you could cover more of the canvas and really create intricate maze-like patterns. I hope you do more of these in various colors! You should even do this on a large canvas! I'd love to see that!
@MyriamsNature7 жыл бұрын
I was thinking of an old Windows screen saver I used to have on my desktop (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth) ... It had these intertwining spirally worm things... I couldn't stop thinking about that as I was doing this pour. I will so have to try that on a larger canvas. I'm going to try mastering stretching the swirl AS I pour because if "worms" go in all different directions tilting it would be challenging without some of them getting messed up. A maze would be AMAZING... (Ha... See what I did there 😄) ... I will be sketching all day tomorrow I'm sure! Thank you for your creative thoughts!

Wow, amazing picture and fascinating techniques, especially the stretchy-tendril thingies. I've never tried that but it's at the top of my painting to do list! I particularly liked the first stage before the straight edge parallel with the lower side happened. Before that, the image looked like a fantastic multicoloured monster's horn which wouldn't have been out of place in a sci-fi exhibition.
