Hi from Germany to the US fridgerator. We always sing every year before christmas about "a white christmas" but every year the same weather as last year. Just 8 days ago we had 14 degrees Farenheit and lower and now 54 and in southern parts of Germany in the 60ies. But i guess if some citizens of the blizzard zone in USA could decide between -30 degrees and heavy snow storm and our mild weather, they would take ours. I'm in Philly and at 8am it was 48 degrees F, and now at 2:00pm it's 27 degrees F- temp is dropping quick and there's going to be sheets of ice all over the roads. 🥶🥶🥶. Going to drop down to 10 degrees F with a windchill of -25 degrees F and the wind gusts are 50 -60 miles an hour! I'm staying inside!

Pensei exatamente nesse filme! Ainda há uns dois dias atrás, sem saber dessa onda de frio, observei no Google Earth que maior parte do hemisfério norte praticamente desapareceu debaixo de grande massa polar, principalmente América do Norte, fiquei impressionado, pois nunca vi isso! O planeta está estranho mesmo!!!

I have, Blizzard of 71 from the Dakotas to Kansas. In Kansas car dealer ships only had part of the roofs of their cars emerging from the snow. I got stuck in the snow trying to avoid other stuck vehicles and had to be rescued.

Pretty normal storm to me and tomorrow is going to be warm here, 34 degrees. I've had colder Christmas's and worse snow blizzards this storm isn't crap here and they told us it was going to be the worst ever.....whatever.

It's colder than usual for sure ... this is a northern winter and it has been cold many times. The difference seems to be all across the country at the same time... Colder in the west, snower in the east ...☃️I haven't been out for 3 weeks now. ... just too cold to risk it 🥶

No kidding! I’ve got three feet on snow on my half mile long laneway, and it’s still coming down hard! Central Ontario, Canada. Highways closed everywhere. It’s called “lake effect snow”- Lake Huron empties into the air and falls back as snow over land. Sitting by the fire with a good drink. Can’t complain.

Подумаешь, мороз минус 40 градусов по Цельсию... это явление обычное русской зимой. Я много лет жил в Сибири, где такие морозы ежегодно бывают. Лишь дышать неприятно - холодный воздух горло и нос обжигает. Тогда шарф на рот и нос поднимаешь и вперёд... на работу!

Обожаю такую погоду! Самая моя любимая, особенно люблю кататься на машине, да и пешком прикольно погулять. Правда тунгус собянин последнее время плохо чистит дороги, раньше было лучше. Но и сейчас вполне приятно провести прогулку на 10-15км вечерком перед сном.

Definitely not here in Quebec which is in Canada. Some rain today, was +7 celcius. no precipitation for the next few days with -7 to -10 celcius. Perfectly normal for christmas but almost no snow on the ground which is sad.

Thank you but don't worry. Blizzards, snowsqualls, nor'easters, etc. are to be expected here 🇨🇦. I'm on the east coast of Canada. It's nothing unusual. There will be some closures, power outages, wind damage and that sort of thing, but that's winter! The media is having a bit of fun with this. Is it true that the UK is having an energy crisis with utilities becoming extremely expensive? Crisco candles under terracotta pots is a good, cheap, emergency light/heat source we use in emergencies/outages. Inexpensive and last for a LONG time. Good luck this winter!

The story the media keeps swinging is that we might run out of gas as our storage sites were closed years ago for some reason but energy companies have said many times its very unlikely that we would have any blackouts but that doesnt stop the media from trying to create a panic.
