Thanks mate. Anyone have ideas on how to hide wires if you cannot hide them in the actual wall? In a rental & there's a bracket here which I'm excited about but don't want messy wires hanging out

great job I want to buy same for 40" tv but next to a window and the wall is half of the tv so I have to turn it to the right do you think this will do the job?

This swivels up to 90 degrees left or right so hopefully that will work for you.

I have the same wall mount but my studs are 570mm apart, this is doing head in. Dont seem to be any cross beams either. Short of ripping out a chunk of dry wall and fastening my own cross beams Im at a loss

Damn. Might be easier to invest in another wall mount that will suit your stud width?

Have had same issue with cavity walls - my solution was to mount a timber rail (or plate) to the wall that fixes to the studs. the rail/plate is then used to fix the tv mount. My pref is to use ply as a plate screwed to studs, that way you have more versatility to mount the bracket. you're only adding an extra 10/12mm to the plate stand-out. Paint it to match the wall - or same as tv bracket. You can mount to any stud distance by changing the size/length of the plate or timber rail used.

@@michaelmannion3894 that's what I've done, I really didn't want to do that though and was almost ready to cut some gyprock and fasten my own cross beams inside before repairing the gyprock
