I've been binge watching MASH for the past week and had forgotten how funny and serious it was at the same time. it was a amazing sitcom... my husband never missed it. The Character Harry Morgan played (Col. Potter) reminds me of my father so much. He even looks like my father God rest their souls. If you've never seen this show you should make it part of your (things to do) list. You won't regret it. The jokes, the characters, the drama all stand the test of time. This is one of the best TV shows of all time.

It definitely was. Liked the early episodes with Trapper John. I never thought his replacement ever lived up to Wayne Rogers. Klinger was one of my favorite characters.

Such as the one who turned out to be the traitor in the first Matrix film...the one who sold them out to Agent Smith. His name eludes me at this moment...case of "short timers" at the moment. Anyhow he portrayed an soldier who was masquerading as an Jewish friend of his who had papers to go home who had recently been killed in action, but Father Mulcahey persuaded him to do the right thing. As you said it is truly quite an number.

this was such a great show. I met Mike Henry once in San Francisco when he was filming SKY JACKED. I got a street car and saw him sitting with a lady. I asked him if he was Mike Henry and he said yes and gave me his seat. I had seen him in a TARZAN movie after his football career was over. his girlfriend thought it was hilarious that I remembered that far back.

Growing up as a kid in the 70's/80's, this was my Saturday afternoon lineup into Saturday night. Started off with Bah Bah Blacksheep, then Rat Patrol, then Star Trek, then Victory At Sea, then MASH, then Wild, Wild West, then Dukes Of Hazzard, then Sha Na Na, Lawrence Welk, Hee Haw and then into the featured movie of the week. 3 channels which were 6 (NBC) 8 (CBS) and 13 (ABC) and if the weather was right we could get channel 4 (PBS) out of Ft. Wayne. Sitting in the living room with my mom and dad, brother and sister eating on folding trays. Us kids were the remote control. Anyone else feel me?

I remember the episode when the MASH unit was going to play football against another unit so they enlisted a neurosurgeon, Timothy Brown, who also happened to be a star college football player. There was one scene where Brown was operating and the other doctors kept talking to him until he said something like, "Can't you wait until I get out of this man's brain?"
