40,000 subscribers! Absolute insanity and as a thank you to you all I wanted to do something special. Today I'm going to be talking about 40 fragrances from the past 5 years that not only do I think smell amazing, I think they are great value for your dollar. This list is primarily a designer list but I have sprinkled in quite a few Niche here, don’t be scared of Niche! Don’t worry I'll hold your hand tight. I’m George the Fragrance Apprentice. How am I just finding this lovely reviewer of a man? I'm so happy! I'm hoping to be be able to find things for my husband who doesn't "understand" the absolute journey fragrance is. The only other male review channel I have been able to watch steadily is The Perfume Guy but I have to say I am absolutely in love with George's reviews and style and have been binge watching since finding this channel today!

Merry Christmas and congrats on the 40k! Keep your eye out for Gucci Guilty Parfum dropping early next year. The sales lady as Saks NYC said she wasn’t supposed to be selling it yet but I picked up a bottle yesterday. It’s a citrus/marine opening similar to ADG Profumo with musk/powdery dry down. Seems to have good longevity which was what I was looking for

Mint in Burlington 1819. I haven’t noticed that 🤦🏻‍♂️ For me the grapefruit stands out and I can’t get my nose past it. It’s a great scent and I blind brought it from your review 👌🏻. Personally I prefer A Midsummer Dream 😍

Very interesting...some I definitely agree with, some are completely unknown to me, and some I think you're entirely daft. But that's fragrance! LOL. You know, I very briefly tried Infrared (sprayed it on while out and about) but I wasn't overly impressed. I'll have to revisit this one when I have more time because it's getting love by everyone in the community. I'm usually not a fan or a Roja perfumes (very nice, but largely way overpriced IMO) but you have me curious about Burlington 1819. Sadly, it's hard to find here in the states and I'm not wanting to crap $300+ on a blind buy - but I'm adding it to the to-sniff-list. Not a fan of the Gucci Guilty lineup, but I do wear Guilty Black from time-to-time because it's well-received by the ladies...for some strange reason. As for Absolute, it was a nice out-of-the-box scent that we fragheads enjoy. Sadly, others don't...and I have better niche version of this scent so it didn't warrant a purchase. However, I'll check-out their latest release. I picked-up AdP Futura over the Summer simply because it was being sold at Costco for $45. I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but it's really, really, really a very nice vetiver scent with classic tones packed in that AdP citrus-aromatic DNA. Not a 5-star fragrances, but a solid 4.25....and $45 bucks? I wish I had purchased a few more bottles. Finally, I'm not a big Hugo Boss Bottled fan...okay, I generally dislike it and all the flankers...but I'm gonna seek this one out for shits 'n grins - it just sounds so unlike the others that it's bound to be good. We shall see. Cheers.

I got Interlude Man a few months ago for like $150 USD, and it's terrific at that price. It smells sweet, warm, spice, resinous, a little smoky oudy, and ever so slightly fresh even. One of my best buys of the year, I'm so happy I have it. I REALLY want to try Black Iris and Overture though, I think those will end up in my collection at some point within the next couple of years. Creed might not be worth the money, but Amouage stuff actually makes it to discounters at a reasonable price, and that's the kind of niche that I'm interested in at the moment. Stuff you can get for under 200 USD, I'm all about that price range.

Hello George! I'm your fan from Thailand. If you happen to come across my comment, I would like to ask for a favor. I have been falling in love with YSL L'homme EDT. The opening is so magical that I almost bought it instantly. However, the performance was terribly disappointing. I tried again and again to find a fragrance that has the opening like YSL L'homme EDT with strong performance but to no avail. Even the YSL L'homme Le Parfum failed me. I'm at your mercy. Please provide your guidance for me, as the frag-prophet, to the fragrance that is close to YSL L'homme EDT.
