Thank you so much for doing this review! I have a 76’ Harley Shovelhead AND my brother’s 73’ Harley Sportster to rebuild and we both had these bikes since we were teenagers & both got so busy with life we weren’t able to keep them running through the years. I’ll be buying the 40-gallon since I saw your review. Thanks again and have a great day!

Well, you have A new subscriber! The Loc Line did it. I bought A Gray Mills parts washer at an auction last Saturday that needs A new nozzle and Loc Line will due nicely. Gray Mills thinks their replacement parts are made out of 24 ct. gold! I really can't complain much though as the machine cost me A whole buck! No one but me wanted to put the filthy beast in their pretty trucks. It pays to drive rusty junk sometimes! I also work out of an unheated shop. 40X80 pole barn in my case with no roof insulation. Got half the walls done though! Good luck and thanks.

Great find Gary! And yes, the Loc Line are wonderful and don't be stupid like me, just get the installation tool right away. Enjoy the "rusty junk". I am a fan of those kinds of machines.

Hey RJ, watching this video once again and I had a thought. Instead of adding an appendage for the gloves to drain the built up moisture, is there any harm in closing the lid down on the finger tips with the gloves outside of the parts washer?

Hey Joe! That does work, just not quiet as well. The one shop I worked in did just that, and the end of the tips still trapped some moisture and that was always where the gloves would wear out first. So, yes it works pretty good, but I like hanging them better. Thanks for watching.

Woohoo, Loc-Line is "Made in USA". Thanks for the video. I think I may do a little mod to mine with respect to the parts brush/spray nozzle.

Loc-Line is great stuff. Even better when you get the assembly tool. Thanks for watching and I hope you are doing well with your 'little' project.

I have always found those to be terribly annoying for what I do. The are the first thing that I get rid of if I am using a washer with them. But, if they work for you, it is an easy way to get more reach. Thanks for watching.

I have a question. When I checked the washers you listed below they say water based solvent only. You are using a solvent based fluid. Have you had any pump problems since you made the video?

Stephen, I never saw that listed in the manual before. Shows how closely I looked, and it is interesting because the lid on the machine has a fuseable link to close the lid in case there was a flash fire with the solvent. Either way, yes I have been using Stoddard type solvent in the tank for about 3 years now and I have not had any problems with the pump. I started with 10 gallons of solvent and it was almost immediately to low due to sloshing, and evaporation. So I would suggest going with a minimum of 15 gallon. Good luck and shout if you have any other questions. R.J.

great mods. you should consider putting in a screw-in type fuel filter with housing. longer solvent life

Thanks. I actually have a pint size diesel fuel filter and housing that I got for free out of someone's junk pile, I just haven't gotten around to adding it. It is on my to-do list. Thanks for watching and thanks for the nudge, maybe I will get that done one of these days.

Thanks for the video. You mentioned that your shop is not heated. What do you do to make it useable in the really cold months? How do keep your shop supplies from freezing?

Jerry, I don't really do anything. My shop supplies I know what is able to be frozen and what is not, and what must stay warm comes into the basement for the winter (which really isn't allot). I am in the Rocky Mountain area, so we get extremely cold weather, followed by 40 degree weather. I mostly just time my workshop time around the weather. Also, I have allot of cold weather working experience and if it is above 20F and I am indoors, I am pretty happy. All that being said, I have a plan for a heated addition to the shop next summer. Thanks for watching and let me know if I can help any more.R.J.
