@@JanyaAndromedaGalactic I'm not sure you understand what the term "illegal" refers to in this context. Nobody is stopping anyone from building like the video, Lego uses the term "illegal" to describe connections that cause physical stress to the plastics that make up the pieces or connections that could cause damage to the piece if you try to remove them. I suggest doing your research before going on the attack.

I used a better looking Spanish tile roof design for a digital MOC I made. You have hinge pieces holding the roof at an angle, and the roof uses plates and angled plates at the corners, while using the 1x1 cheese slopes all over with the small end facing up. You can use nougat, brown, dark orange, etc. to get the right colors. I live in a town with a LOT of these roofs, and I have to say it looks pretty accurate, though it's really part intensive.

The thing that's perhaps annoyed me the most about Lego recent years is that they've spent way too much time introducing new side stud pieces and detail pieces (to the point of INCONSISTENCY and REDUNDANCY) but we haven't gotten anything new for building in 60 degree angles since part 27255.

I like #39 for making things which slide back and forth. It doesn't work amazingly well, and the smallest misalignment can bungle things, but it's nice when you want something with limited back and forth sliding.

13:28 is an impossible build. The 1×1 bricks with studs on top and four sides cannot be directly next to one another. The only way for that cube to work would require the 1×1 bricks with studs on top and two adjacent sides, which are rare, and as far as I know were made specifically for the Dr. Who Tardis set.
@legostuffman5122 жыл бұрын
The cube made of 2x2 plates? It is possible, since the 1x1 bricks w/ studs are never directly next to each other, they stay diagonally adjacent and there's just enough space for the unused studs to fit

It's kind of sad imo that a lot of those techniques are only used to outrun the problem that you can't invert the stud direction, a problem that a lot of other brands don't have because they crated pieces that are madr to invert the stud direction. No idea why Lego won't use those pieces as well
@MasterofPlaste2 жыл бұрын
@@fabianweidler7211 other brands like cada hat the technic flipflop beams way earlyer than lego and it was an awsome idea to create realy compact builds with huge stability. It took lego years to use this part. And there a lot more cool pieces by other brands, the cobi baseplate tile, the cada 1x5 liftarm with pins on the end, the 1x5 plate, the shiny 6x6 tile, the cobi slopes and much more. In my opinion is the only reason to buy lego the reselling price of it.
