I've installed at least 200 double box cranes in my 7 years of working for Canada's largest crane manufacturer, Kavert Cranes and Kone Cranes in Edmonton Alberta and this crew did a great job....

Fun work. I've put up about 14 or so Zenars like this one. Put two of them up in Michigan, that had a trolley with a rail on it for another 360 degree rotation trolley.

I have installed cranes for 40 years and always fixed the end trucks on the floor first . There is enough room up there to turn it in place.
@ministerJason12 жыл бұрын
I agree, installed cranes for years but think the swing was pretty tight for the end trucks on not sure if there was room on the left side to swing over to account for the end trucks not hitting the right side wall a2 + b2 = c2

We use to bolt up endtrucks on B girder as it was still on truck . Then rig with chains and comalong so we could set all three components in one lift then send up A girder to bolt up. Seems faster and safer.
@ministerJason12 жыл бұрын
I don't think there was a enough room for swing on this crane side to side, but yes I would agree ive done the same thing you mentioned many times...Also bolted it all together and put all the buzz bar on and lifted it all in one lift many times before as well...

If the crane(s) new or old don't already have Variable Frequency Drives, (vfd's) have them put in. It turns a jerky jeep into a smooth running Buick. If they have them in already, have them turn the speed down. FYI... You can actually add an anti-swing function to some vfd's, if it's that big of an issue. You can tell if they're installed if you can hear the motors engage. Listen for a high pitched whistling type sound. If you have that, you have a vfd.

Where can I buy the load for testing crane from 10 to 100 ton? Help help help, please!
@hoosiercrane8 жыл бұрын
We typically will rent from Water Weights for load testing over 30 tons and up. We have our own weights fro lighter load tests. www.waterweightsinc.com/en/
@eddydonovan63538 жыл бұрын
How can you be sure the water test weights are accurate? I have myself tested Demag cranes for some time now in UK, We always use Cast Metal Blocks, Even when testing 100 ton! They come 8 ton blocks and are designed to be stacked!
@hoosiercrane8 жыл бұрын
We utilize Water Weight brand. www.waterweightsinc.com/en/contact.html We typically will rent the weights.
@hoosiercrane8 жыл бұрын
We also use metal blocks for smaller loads or in local markets. This was several hundred miles away and there were not options to rent traditional weights locally. Water weights ship @ about 2% of the test weight when empty. As for accuracy this is from their website: "The load is always measured accurately with a certified loadcell or flowmeter, so exact weight variations required during test is always achieved by simply filling or dumping the bags."

Para que necesitas saber eso, acaso eres calculista. De cuánto es la trocha ?
@ZenDNewtz3 жыл бұрын
@carlosrondansanchez62263 жыл бұрын

So many accolades. Undeserved. No correction to the first snatch. Proceeds with off center lift. Cables on sharp corners. 👎 Sudden lifts, with no gentle test lift. Obvious lack of communication to / with the hitchers. Banged into the roof opening. And then glanced past the edge with the hook. This is disgracefull. Riggers are supposed to be flawless. Why. Because so much is at risk. Is this the best you can do?

somebody please enlight me, wht are those pair of sacks?
This video is kinda pointless without showing the boom crane thats making the lift. To reach the center of the roof from outside they must have needed a couple hundred feet of stick and a lot of tonange. Judging from how lightly built this crane is they could have used a pair of 25 ton cranes inside and saved themselves alot of time and money. Oh, for this type of install you should put the end trucks up first and secure them to the runway with chains and binders
