I just found this video, super! I'm Italian and my brother owned a VESPA PX 125, it was the first model with the direction indicators. I think he bought it on Aug 1980. From 1990 to 1996 I used the vespa each day to go to work. Little bit emotional when I listened at the engine at the end of the video. Thank you so much. I'm going to look at the other videos of the channel.

Excellent work. This is the best engine tear down and rebuild I have seen for the Vespa engine. Fascinating to watch and so different from a regular motorcycle engine. Always been curious about the mechanics of the 'wasp' and all it's secrets were revealed in this excellent video. Thanks for creating and sharing - and bringing new life to old things. Danke!

Amazing memories about 55 years ago as a youth, . I am sure we had more bits left over I bought a seriously old (then) Lambretta LI 150 for £6. I took it back to my (RAF) camp and we stripped it down and rebuilt it . I am sure we had more bits left over than went back into it LOL. All my friends had stripped down (chopped) scooters and we used to go scooter surfing down the main roads at night. This was before you had to have Helmets. Scooter surfing was great fun. Basically you got your bike up to speed put a matchstick into the throttle handle to lock it and then stood up on the running boards and let go the handlebars and road the bike like a surfboard - anybody else remember this craze back in the early 70’s? or am I the only survivor. LOL.

Hatte die px 200e im Studium und nebenbei liefen alle alten Filme ab, während ich zuschaute. Die erste bis 47800km, die zweite noch auf 38200 km gebracht. Da muss man so manches anfassen. Aber das hier ist wahre Meisterschaft. Danke fürs Teilen. Die Farbe übrigens ausgezeichnet.

Super Arbeit! Wie vorher schon gesagt bestimmt Hauptberuflich. Am besten finde ich die ordnungsgemäße Aufhängung an der Wand für die Teile und wenn ich es richtig gesehen habe auch eine Lehre für die "Neuverkabelung?". Die Farbe finde ich persönlich nicht besonders schön aber das ist ja Geschmackssache 🍻

Just go for it, Did that when I was seventeen, probably not that perfect in every detail as shown here, but it is possible. Had no experience at all, I bought it disassembled for 400 DM, only the engine to be complete. The exploded drawings in the "Rollershop" catalogue was all I had to see, where which part belongs to...

The 80cc variant was popular in Germany because in the 80s there was the possibility to drive this with your normal driver licence. Nowadays it is not possible anymore so you doesn‘t find new 80cc bikes in Germany anymore. This one got a 150ccm Engine because 80ccm is really slow 😅

Sehr gute Restaurierung,aber für eine perfekte Restaurierung hätte ich niemals Poppnieten für die Trittleisten verwendet,da nimmt man die originalen Stiftnieten mit der Waffelmuster-Nietenzange.Ihr habt wirklich an fast alles gedacht,aber wenn man solch einen Aufwand betreibt,dann sollte man auch gleich die Lagerschalen der Lenksäule mitwechseln und die total umständliche Kronenmutter der Kupplung würde ich immer gegen die neuere Version für Knarre tauschen😉
