Really liked the construction (exterior) of this little school. The front was unique. The school next door was maybe a middle & Highschool. But this place clearly has seen better days .Preety trashed. I live right next door in Manitoba!!👍👍😊😊🇨🇦🇨🇦

Hi Dave. I grew up in this town, Tramping Lake -- the school across the yard was my elementary school before it shuttered in 2000. The first name on the girl's hooks, Lila, is a cousin of mine. If you want to see more of what this town looked like before it all fell into disrepair, I once digitized an old homecoming parade here from the early 90s. I got this from a person on Reddit i grew up near here and my dad and grandpa went to this school. This was the elementary school and has been closed since the late 70s early 80s due to low student enrollment and the govt cutting funding. The building off to the right was the high school, but then became the k-12 school that I went to when the 'ol brick school' closed. At one time someone did try to fix it up to live in but as you can see from the cracks along the front roof, those were structural and not salvageable due to how deep those cracks go into the main building. There is also an enormous beautiful church here too. At one time there were apartments, a dealership, a couple Grocers and gas stations. 5 grain elevators, skating and curling rinks, ball diamonds and so many more houses. Approx 500+people lived here in its' hayday. But as others have said, the closure of the elevators, schools, grocery stores, and the farmers moving away, it has become a shell of its former glory.
