The best thing about this video is how strongly it confirms for us guys that our beards may take time, even if we’re already 30. The beard can be a great representation of the journey of life. Whether you are 20, 25, 30 or 40... there’s still a lot of life to be lived, and a lot of beard to be grown.

My short handlebar has an upsweep at each end. I put a small amount of hard wax in a metal measuring cup and melt it over my gas stove burner. I then apply the hot liquid wax into the hairs by using a tiny brush (mine comes in a package of 'Just For Men' hair dye). After the wax cools, clumps will be visible. I heat a metal comb over the gas flame for about ten seconds and then run it through the hair on both sides. This re-melts and smoothly distributes the wax throughout the hair. Let it cool and finish shaping. You should be set for the day. Be sure to let the metal comb cool a bit before using it. May not work for you-works for me every day.

I am in the process of learning to cut hair so I've been watching lots of videos on different techniques beard trims etc. I can't seem to find anything on KZbin without this guy in them. How awesome a video. Really enjoyed watching the process of how you arrived to the full beard. I’ve had a goatee for just over 20 years. It has finally grown in thick but once every year I go for the beard. Seems patchy and after a couple months I shave the beard. However just purchased beard brand vitamins and growth oil so have high expectations for the full beard look by fall. Your beard is rocking it. Seeing how you stayed with it gives me hope that I can have that full beard I’ve always wanted. Beard on!

Greg, you give me hope! I’m 40 and can only grow the VanDyke and chin strap. I’ve never given it enough time to try anything else. Hoping someday that It’ll start to fill in. My brother couldn’t grow his beard until about 43.

The truth we need Greg, is what type of skin care did you begin experimenting with from 37-57 years old because you had bad skin in your 20’s all the way through to your early 30’s. Then it became model like clear and a proper tan hue or beige. Some very expensive and proper pharmaceuticals can make your skin look like this similar to how sea salt spray can texturize your hair without the damage that pomades bring. Do you mind sharing ? I’m now 32, and my skin is better now than when I was in my 20’s however it’s not tan like or perfect.

I was a platinum blonde as a boy. My hair is now brown at 22. My beard (the little I have) is blonde. I get a 5 o’clock shadow after two weeks of growth because it is so light.

I am one of those few like you that my facial hair gets longer, fuller, thicker with age. I couldn't grow a full beard really until after 35-40 although I couldn't really experiment with it until I retired from the military.

If his beard got thicker with age than hopefully mine will too lol, I've never had any complaints about my beard in my 20's and I'm in very early 30s now, would be nice if it gets thicker though. Unfortunately though my hair follicles on the head are a different story, he's lucky he's got good hair genes. I'm just hoping in the near future they get a different cloning method of hair transplants that's super effective.
