That is the neatest silage clamp I've ever seen!!! I love watching the mowing, tedding, chopping and building the clamp. I can almost smell the wonderful aroma of the cut grass. It was lovely to hear your memories of growing up on the farm and the silage trials. A wonderful video!

Best part of the whole video had to be you taking that gate off to allow more space. Amount of farmers that think you can shift a 250hp tractor and 14ton trailer where they get their little yard tractor is too many. Just that little extra space is damn well handy and very much appreciated

I grew up in a town but used to love heading to my grandparents in the countryside and seeing the silage and hey being brought in. Being young and eager I was easily convinced to open & close gates, get spins in tractors, stacking bales and firing tires up onto the pit. Country life is the best life

Great memories Adrian, made me smile to think of all those handlings, the ESB pole was a big one, lucky lad he wasn't hurt. harvest time is always big but was better craic years ago when more things were done by hand. be interesting now to see how the silage turns out with no side plastic. Hope your father is home soon to inspect that pit and I'm sure he'll watch the video too.
