About: Satisfactory
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies. The Satisfactory Train update and Nuclear update also adds in trains, train stations, and nuclear power plant to enjoy, if you can handle the nuclear waste that is! In some of our videos, we go over Satisfactory tips and Satisfactory building tips, as well how to build a mega base and manufacturer setup. Our Satisfactory Early Access let’s play ep 1 was started a few months ago, but now we have hundreds of hours since Satisfactory ep 1 and have built a giant base with computer production, supercomputer production, a huge nuclear power plant and hundreds of trains! Our giant train system covers the entire map and gathers uranium, deals with our nuclear waste, and Satisfactory trains are a very satisfactory way of travel!
Satisfactory Update 3 also changed the game entirely adding pipes, Hyper Tubes, the Awesome Shop and Awesome Sink (aka Resource Sink), a new desert biome, a new vehicle, and a ton more!
This Factorio like game has heavy automation, with automated mining, crafting, and you can even automate movement! Follow my Satisfactory Early Access Gameplay for the best base building, best Satisfactory tips, and more!
Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim by CoffeeStain Studios. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the ‘Save The Day’ program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction!

So, assuming 1 water is 1 cubic meter, then at full usage... This would be using 800 cubic meters of water per second. Which is 28% more than the flow of the Colorado river (going through the grand canyon) Now picture that entire river at full flow being turned into steam. 427,050 MW run round the clock would be 3.7 trillion kW hours per year. Which is only 4% short of annual USA electricity consumption. (Math done a little quickly, so I'm probably off)

It isn't *that* bad. One large container lasts about 10 hours at current load (30 minutes at full load). You can place say 200 large containers in maybe 3 hours, and then you're set for up towards 2000 hours of play time. The big oof is the radiation. It scales infinitely, I believe. So this facility should be really far away from any place you want to survive...

after update 4, the waste keeps coming, but it can be dealt with, turning it into other rods that can be sent to the sink for coupons ... but in the long run, the world will run out of space from either coupons or statues :-) LOL btw: production "easily" can be doubled now, upgrading all pipes and pumps to MK2, overclocking water extractors to 200% and nuclear powerplants to 250% ...

11:30 Since the extractors work at 120 per minute, you can use 5 of them to fill 2 pipes. So each pipe only needs 2.5 extractors.
@Mirality
@Mirality 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but what he's doing is putting down three extractors per pipe and setting one to 50%. Still a full pipe. Uses a lot more space and a little bit *less* power in total (underclocking is weird like that). It's also a bit more reliable because you're not joining two pipes together -- while that does share the water it can sometimes behave a little strangely.

Hey Kibs, I know you have been working a lot in satisfactory and factorio, but can we see some more shapezio? ALSO URANIUM CANNOT GO INTO RESOURCE SINKS I also have an idea for where you could put that spicy waste. Put it somewhere that you have already developed... Sound crazy? Here is my reason: You said it yourself when you were finished with Petropolis, "We probably will never come back here again." If you build a waste storage in an area that is not developed, then the huge amounts of radiation might cause problems for future projects. Remember how when you stored the waste in the swamp cave in season 1, the radiation spread to the ground above the cave and eventually covered half the swamp? If you build your waste storage in an undeveloped area, it could pose a problem for a rail line or road that you might build in the area in the future. So... Just put 100,000,000 storage bins under and around Petropolis and other past/finished projects. Here are some other potential spots for waste storage: Pink forest (Because it is hard to build there) Blue crater (See above reason) Nuclear fuel rod factory Underwater somewhere In a void hole somewhere

You know, instead of over clocking the water extractors you can just change them into groups of 5, then replace the pipes with mark 2. That way if you run into power problems in the future you can just over clock the power plants one by one as needed. In the end, you can double your power output without having to build a whole new set of reactors. Future kibitz will thank you for the foresight.

Got an idea. Make a circular storage room and run the belts in the shape of an atom logo, so they’re all crazy but when running it’ll look so cool from above. Hope that makes sense

Kibz, you should've done a 5-to-2 ratio of water extractors to nuclear power plants, would've saved yourself some time, not to mention pipes and pumps. But what's done is done :)

What I did for nuclear waste is a industry container line going up until the sky box ceiling then connected it to another right next to it as tall as it was. It lasted a couple weeks of running everything on just 5 nuclear power plants running at 100% or close to 100% before it got filled up.

tip for getting rid of nuclear waste. create some kind of funnel system to drop the waste down the HUGE bottomless pit on the map. (i personally use the tractors. cheap to make and easy to get ridd of.)

If you do a modded let's play one day (with more than the ones you're already using), there's a mod or two that can recycle the waste. Although with the mod list I had until my computer died (it's a gift of mine apparently, just killing a computer without like 17 viruses) I had a list I could run for a little bit

you can do what i did with nuclear waste: build floors in the edge of the map as far as you can, then build a lot of storages and let the waste stay there

ImKibitz if you have the power shards you could over clock the water extractors to 250% and that would fill one pipe with 300 water saving on the number of water extractors you would need.
@matthewholbrook6384
@matthewholbrook6384 3 жыл бұрын
Just a suggestion. But you could cut down your water extractors by a third by plugging in the sluggo cores. Each extractor can then pump 300 per min

At 787 nuclear waste per minute you'd generate 47220 waste per hour. So, if you played for 500 hours you'd produce 23,610,000 nuclear waste. Using 48 slot industrial storage containers you'd need 983.75 containers to contain it all (i think). In order to build all that you'd need 9837500 steel beams and steel pipes.
@turboblimp729
@turboblimp729 3 жыл бұрын
I also built a Nuclear Power Plant with 158 Reactors and a plant producing 45 Turbo Motors per minute. I HIGHLY recommend any of you who plan to go big to build everything right on the water and pump direct! No Pumps at all and minimal pipes :).

Awesome Project! However for 500 hours a run time you will need 42,000-48,000 slot storage! That’s going to be another project. 48 slots per industrial storage, so about 1000 units /500hours. Good luck!

They should honestly add a way for you to recycle nuclear waste in the game and make it spicey and sink a bit of the power from the nuclear power plants. Also does this mean you can have everything in your base running full out? You could ship the nuclear waste back the the nuclear nodes for storage.

I'm only halfway through the video, but you could have done 5 extractors for every two pipes instead of 3 extractors per pipe. I've used it for coal gens and it worked, it just requires some planning with pipe heights and stuff to avoid water from flowing back. It uses significantly less space and you don't have to go around underclocking every third extractor.
