Ever since my video about 5000 archers vs 3000 romans I've thought about the revenge of the roman, the lonely survivor. A poor hastati, the sole survivor that endured two arrow wounds in the celtic ambush by the tribe Arverni. I was waiting for the perfect story and cinematic feel for this video and I can tell you, drafting the first material for what came to be this final product made me the most excited I've ever been for a video... The roman everybody cheered for is back to crave his revenge on the celts in the siege of Alesia!

After the ambush where 2999 hastati died, 1 scaped and told the senate about that. The heroic survivor was promoted to general and lead an army of 4000 romans to destroy the celts in Alesia. The attack was a succes, and the celtic army of 6400 was destroyed in the battle, with only 270 roman casualties

That catapult attack that began at 2:01 though. It seems like they had unlimited giant boulders and giant catapults for almost every soldier they had. Anyone else think that catapult attack went a little too well? I don't think it would have been THAT effective in real life. It's like those boulders knew where to hit. I didn't know they were recruiting giant boulders in their armies. LOL! But almost as ridiculous is at 3:51, almost two minutes after the catapult attack, there are still people on the walls with shields up like they are going to block the boulders! If I was there, I would have been of that wall. If someone asked me where I was going, I'd be like "I'm going to use logic and get down there to see if I can actually do something other than get run over by a giant flying boulder and killed instantly! You can stand here and I die if you want to."

This is Great! Just be aware of for your future videos of 'crossing the axis.' At the beginning of this video when the armies are sizing each other up, you crossed it several times making it slightly discombobulated. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/180-degree_rule One can flip horizontally the chosen clip to correct this with editing software. If this issue has already been addressed, then no worries. Keep up the good stuff! :)

This looks like the Michael Bay version of the real siege of Alesia. Nice video, but it would have been better with a minimal amount of research (even on wikipedia) before filming. Lorica segmentata first appeared in the 1st century but not during Caesars times. Only chainmail was in use. What are praetorians doing in Alesia?
