All these scenes showing just the unfortunate individual soldiers are really gripping. Just seeing a Roman soldier trying to get up with an arrow lodged in his chest or a barbarian trying to crawl out of the fire. Really makes it that much better man. Really awesome stuff. Keep up the good work and I hope to see some more great content!

*"Most Generals stand idly and watch at the back, look at the battlefield from a far, but today men! We will not stand and watch, we will not let men die for a general they cannot see! Charge!!"* - Battle of Londinium
@alceushunterx9 жыл бұрын
+Vincent Rogers there's a reason why some generals do that. Some are effective as commanders but really shitty as fighters. If the main commander goes down fighting, it will do some seriously morale damage. But some are fighters/warriors. Meant to go into the fight. They can lead their armies to victory while fighting but not while their life is in danger. So the general fighter must have co captains who follow the plan. etc etc, a general fighter fighting in the front lines can SERIOUSLY boost up the morale, but if he dies, that's it morale at 1%. But I love the speech, something a spartan leader would say to mock the persian armies.

Nice video man. I always found it more interesting to watch battles like this. I always like how two armies would just run in towards each other. Mate i could watch these all day, amazing video. I liked how you labelled each unit so people who don't play it could understand what was happening at which part of the city, and who was who. Epic video mate, keep em coming, maybe add story lines to them explaining for example, why the battle took place etc, could be fictional could be based off historical events, either way i don't think it matters too much, but giving it a small story line would really give the audience an even better idea. just throwing ideas around. If you made more videos just like this i'd be very happy, it must take ages producing em. Keep up the good work man. Peace

i've seen two of your video's now and i must say well done on the putting together the replays. i fell as if i was watching a movie sometimes. the only thing that have a slight complaint with, and i dont even know if id call it a complaint, but it would be awesome just to get a bird's eye view in the sky over most of the battlefield just to see what each army has and what it has to fight up against.

Steven KaCey, I am unable to reply to your comment directly, so i hope you see this, I will check out some historical battles and see what I can come up with. I built my pc, its an i7 4790k overclocked to 4.7ghz with an h100i corsair closed loop cpu cooler, an ASUS ROG mobo, with an ASUS ROG GTX 980 Matrix Platinum, 16gb of corsair vengeance ram at 2400mhz, 2 samsung evo SSD drives, ASUS Rog overclocking front panel, and some corsair fans of different sizes through out my case which is a corsair something i cant remember its one of their micro atx cases. the 3 something. oh and corsair 1,000 watt PSU. I thought about a commentary but, i dont know what I would really say. lol I might just stay behind the scenes for now, unless I do a historical battle, then I will do alot of research on it and list facts throughout it.

FrankyFes Rome 2 was a mess, A HOT MESS!!! lol it took over a year before they straighten that out. Attila in my opinion is what Rome 2 should have been. Whatever kinks they had at the start of Rome 2, they learned from their mistake. My first battle was with 10k troops and that was without a single patch. Something I couldnt do in Rome 2 for 8 months. Its more demanding then Rome 2, because graphically its beautiful, if you got the hardware, it will run. i JUST finished a 17k man battle. I will be uploading it after i do all the editing stuff. Probably take me a couple weeks to turn it from a replay into something like the above movie. But its comming!!

Jowenbra The endings are also a but abrupt. Not bashing just some constructive criticism :)
@batesBeckham9 жыл бұрын
Jowenbra hey man thanks for the tips. I am currently trying out a new mouse, so over the next couple videos i should hopefully get less jerky. ( i was using a roller ball mouse, thats why its so jerky) Also the second you win or lose, the battle is over. If you win you can click keep fighting and run the defeated army off the field. But if you lose. It abruptly just ends. :( so im working on some solutions. I appreciate the time you took to give me your constructive criticism and I will be attempting to fix them and if I win again, i will try to add more of an ending. Thanks again.

Too bad you can rarely have such battles in campaign. When you storm at an enemy city with 2 armies or more, they either all run away from the city meaning you'll have a boring easy fight, or they attack you straight away meaning the battle will take place on an open field.

is this how the game is when you purchase it?? or do you need to buy something extra too
@batesBeckham7 жыл бұрын
GodLikeGaming YT the base game doesn't have any blood. So if you want blood you can buy the blood and gore dlc for a like a dollar or two. however the game is significantly modded. And I'm sure there is a blood and gore mod in the steam workshop for free. I don't know your PC specs but most gaming PCs run battles around 2k to 7k troops. this is 15k troops and I even have larger battles than that. I custom built my PC solely for this game...every part and brand chosen by how well it ran total war games. So I wouldn't expect you to be able to buy it and have it look remotely this large in scale. check out some of my other vids I have a 17k siege, an 18k siege and even 19k siege. it's insaine. but to end the question you asked..you could in theory recreate this without purchasing anything extra like a DLC. I am running custom battles. this is not a campaign or multiplayer match. it's just me vs the AI, and I chose every single unit that would be on the field for both teams.
