Another good video. Like that the editing is getting tighter.

I appreciate your comments. Im like 6 months into this with no video experience. I can definitely tell from my earliest videos they were filled with everything and lengthy, but that was kinda my intent for the other techs on my sub group to see the full install when hiring new guys.

@@naturallyrootedgrowers Thank you, please keep the videos coming. I am enjoying them.

Wow no strap on the ladder? We used to use a mallet to start the J hooks in and a Bell wrench to tighten them down. Never considered a claw hammer.

looks like you flew over the neighbor's property to get that install done, I know we can't do that here.

You went all that way to aerial trespass the last 100 feet?

That was the last pole I could use. Cant hang on other company strand. Dropping down the pole for burial may have been the book way, but there was still a couple of fences to deal with.

How do you get paid is it just by the install no matter how hard or how easy it is you are obviously an independent contractor so you are not on the clock but the jobs vary so much from one to the other in terms of difficulty is it just a matter of they all averaged out at the end can you get paid a flat rate for the day or number of completed installations regardless of how much time it takes ????????? Thanks a lot for the content

Where's the right away in that area? Is it the area between the sidewalk and the street? If so, why didn't they place the inner duct in that area? When the inner duct was placed as shown, didn't they get permission from the homeowners first? Or, did someone ignore the engineer's drawing and decide it was easier to place it where it is now? Or, was there something already in that area between the sidewalk and the street that couldn't be buried over?

Is this Corning SST? What cable fasteners are you using? Thanks for sharing, I enjoy watching your content!
@naturallyrootedgrowers5 ай бұрын
It seems to look exactly like Corning SST, in the video i was just caught off guard since we been using single fiber for a while, now we are back to the double. The clips are just RG6 coax screw clips.

Such a poorly designed OSP but it makes for interesting videos! Did you consider mid spanning the last bit or was the neighbor cool with the little shortcut?
@naturallyrootedgrowers5 ай бұрын
I will always midspan but we are only underground here and cannot span with other companies.

Many years ago I had to get to a pole in this guys backyard. Of course he wouldn’t allow access mainly because he had built a tin shed around the pole and was upset because any time someone had to climb the pole they would step on the roof of the shed and cave it in. I got the neighbors to let me access their yard and I put my 28ft ladder up to get to the pole. Not good enough for this old fart. He still kept yelling at me. Well, I called my manager and told him to bring a camera. Edison owned the pole and they don’t take kindly to anyone “damaging” them. We turned it in. Edison came out and placed a new pole and moved everything over to it. Cut the old pole off at the roof of his shed and handed him a bill for $60k.

How are you my friend? I've been following your videos from Brazil and I'm really enjoying them! Could you tell us the salary and how much a technician can earn per month?

I am in the United States and work for a larger telecom company that is unionized. I do most of what I see on this channel, except fusion splicing. We use shitty mechanical splices instead. I also work with twisted pair a good amount. I am the basic level tech and I started at $20 per hour after a year I'm at $25 per hour.

good to see you’re using another letter besides that other one one☝️ the other one was on his last legs safety wise with the cracks spend the money on the big giant ladder 🪜 the one made for Cable with the hooks and everything that lock in place it’s way lighter make the job a lot easier specially carrying those heavy ass ladders 🪜
