@AlchEm1st8810 ай бұрын
@@TheReaper42069 Nah, as someone who's jumped many a Subaru during rallyx the drivers technique was the issue there for sure. I promise you he either destroyed the clutch or broke the trans. Engine is probably fine With a manual car you have to clutch in mid-air or when you land it will shock the driveline and it spins the clutch disk between the flywheel and pressure plate. It puts extreme stress on the clutch disk and the gears in the trans. He was wide open throttle for every jump. If I were a betting man I'd say that clutch disk shredded. He could've sheared the gears in the trans or bent the rods that hold the gearset too though. Or maybe he got lucky and it held up and something else let go. Either way, he better learn to clutch in mid-air!

Engine is totally fine guys. Appreciate the paragraph of guessing of what’s wrong tho 😂 the radiator support brackets snapped and the hot rad touched our wiring harness causing a fuse to blow and lose power. The car was up and running with a new rad the next day 🤙🏽

With leaves and solids, the Sammy did better than I predicted. With a nearly identically setup 87 Samurai, I've never had the guts to jump my rig mainly because of the wheelbase and the fact I like mine not broken. But, with a 130HP Chevy V-6 and Dana 44's I'm betting mine would have been a closer overall race.

Had that same Subaru, except green. Was my favorite car. Plenty of room, AWD, 2.5l dual cam 5-speed, party in the front business in the rear. Rebuilt the motor and replaced nearly everything else. Wrapped it around a tree upside down. No seatbelt or airbags, unscathed. They're increasingly rare today, especially without rust or high mileage. Nice rig...
