Just like a lot of people below, you are an awesome source of info, files and just knowledge!! I Subscribed to you once I got my Creality 10w laser head for one of my Ender3v2's but I was having an issue with it always firing at 100% no mater what. I ended up returning that and getting a LM3 and I highly satisfied with how easy and streamlined it has been thus far. I figured you had a video of getting the center of your cut space to then transfer it to the top of my enclosure to mount a webcam. I have had it assembled for a few days but am waiting on a few more things to come from Amazon and some other sites! Thanks for all the info!!!!

Just a little tip on your last bit in this vid that tried and it worked for me.. With my laser on my waist bed I stuck a half round pvc pipe piece arround each leg. I just downloaded and opened the 400x400 grid and it presents in the LB workspace inverted vertically. No problem to re-invert vertically, but was that on purpose? It looks useful, and you say it is very useful, but when and why? My guess is that it is for engraving pre-cut stock items like coasters in the same way every time, doing separate engraving runs on that size/shape of stock over time.)

Hey we’ve spoke before , I’m in Baton Rouge la and I have a question and think you’re the only one who could help, I want to make picture frames where you could have your 4 corners and make it as big as you want by connecting like pieces for the sides and top and bottoms like a puzzle, so if you bought like a 4x5 foot tapestry you could frame it with a nice design.

After centering the waste grid you mention to go ahead and burn the grid. In another video and I can't remember which one, you made a caveat and to make sure you have selected the right material. In this video you did not so are your settings supposed to be as shown in the cut layer? I notice the blue layer says cut. If we were to run this will we engrave or cut ? Sorry but still too new at knowing what settings should be for the material being used. I did look at the material library and see that 4 mm plywood engrave said 9000 for speed and burn was 100 percent. Confused.
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Жыл бұрын
It's all explained in the notes section Steve. Your settings *will not* be the same! You have to have a Library and set the appropriate speeds and power based on *your laser*. The engraving of the numbers is slow because they're small. Numbers are fill and lines are... well line!

Hi Grantman, You are asking for a pretty specific style spoil board. It is easy enough to create your own if using LightBurn. Just draw out a circle while holding the shift key. Enter the diameter you want in the second set of dimensions in the top left, then with that circle highlighted, hit the cross hairs at the top right to center the circle on your work area, rinse and repeat for all the other diameter circles that you will be placing on the work area. Once you have all your circles, you can follow the rest of the steps in Rich's video to create your own specific spoil board. Hope this helps

I am new here, but couldn't you combine the metric and standard versions together? You have both measurements going from the top left corner moving down towards the center, why not put the other version from the top right corner going down towards the center? This way you have inches and millimeters on the same grid. One file works for both measurements or am I missing something?
