Can we yalk about 406.9 (B) wet locations (2) Other Receptacles. All other receptacles installed in a wet Loction shall be listed weather-resistant type. Just did a car charger 4 wire 50 amp on the outside of a garage by customer requst. I have it installed with a in-use cover, was I required to have the 50 amp receptacle weather-resistant too.I did look on line and could not find such an animal. I would appreciate any thoughts from my comrades.

Thought that the required floor receptacles in conference rooms was one of the best new code requirements in years. Had to fight with my cheap maintenance shop boss when the company was remodeling a large office he refused to allow us to I stall a duplex receptacle in a 60' hallway that had a rug and therefore janitor had to vacuum rug several times a week. Stayed on my own time and installed two duplex receptacles spread out. Janitor thanked me for no longer needing an extension cord. Code should require at least one receptacle every 25' or so in commercial hallways.

Convention Centers are notorious for having floor receptacles, they “sell” the access to receptacles of the sub space to any vendor that may be using it. The con center may or may not allow food on the floor areas occupied by vendors.
