I enjoy these videos, well appreciated. I sometimes like to nickname the NEC, "National Exception Code " when joking and hanging out with coworkers at the bar on a Friday night, for obvious reasons.

Worked in a large slaughterhouse for ten years then a large candy plant. Both had nightly wash down with pressure washers. Both had frequent 480 volt receptacles & equipment that shorted or grounded out. Repiped everything in heavy wall conduit with neverseeze compound on every coupling and hubs. Rarely came into the top of a FS best in class Hubbell yellow marine grade boxes. Didn't look pretty when I had to bend a 180 degree bend to enter bottom of some boxes. Used the expensive Hubbell yellow marine grade hinged covers that had a mating rib that was great at keeping water out. Both places attempted to use yellow rubber twist lock boots that went over 20 & 30 amp 480 volt male & female cord connectors. After a few days to maybe a week water would get inside & ground out. Got a nice shock a few times unplugging these white elephants. On Four Carmel kettles that had overflowing hottest water overflowing along with a acid rinse that poured out for 4 to 6 hours a night to get stainless steel kettle sparking clean. I had them purchase the gray covered jacket over rigid conduit to finally water proof the kettles , 8 steam valves & a dozen start stop stainless steel NENA 4 enclosures. Had a machnists to drill out the wall of Rigid hand die to accommodate the heavy outside wall. I installed one of the great yellow marine grade flip.lid duplex receptacle cover on an outside receptacle that I installed to a Kill ark aluminum FS box over 45 years ago. Used never seeze on the 4 plate screws that secure the cover. At least 5 times had snow over a foot above this box for maybe ten days and the every 8 to 10 years that I open it up for inspection no water , no bugs. Guess it doesn't owe me any money. Never heard that you can use a flip cover for certain locations instead of the heavy duty bubble ( gum ) cover.

they should have an exception for 406.9 C for if there is a wall between the bath and the toilet.

We're dealing with that situation now only our outlet is kind of around a corner under a medicine cabinet just to the side of the sink. You think if it's around a corner and above the sink cabinet it's within the 3 ft zone?

I worked the last 2 days in a factory that makes(I won't say). But, the 240V 3PH control panels are installed in the middle of the machinery. Access is so cramped that no fat person could ever do it and you musty be agile just to get in front of it. The job took far longer than expected just because of slow access. Forget a tool and waste 2 minutes going 30 feet to get to the tool. Filthy(nature of their business), slippery(silicone in the process...labels don't stick well), poor documentation(years of seat-of-the pants fixes). I am so sore and tired. I have lots of You-Tube videos to catch up on after being away for two days. before I take a shower and eat(I am filthy from that work). TBH, even though for the most part, the videos are not industrial related, I enjoy these the most. Not too long, dense in information, and easy to listen to. I can't wait for the workspace update(not sure if there was one. Having pipes and hydraulic hoses wrapped around your feet probably doesn't comply....hence I do no live work on that old POS that has been my desktop for the last two days. Just venting but, do enjoy these videos. Appreciated.

Couldn't we just use terminology of continuous duty instead of extra duty. Which continuous duty is already defined in 100
