why fuse is connected in series with neutral line in my smps (foxin 450w) ? Fuse should connect with phase line ?
@HaseebElectronics2 жыл бұрын
no problem, it have no difference, fuse can be connected in any line (phase or neutral) because the current have to complete its path in both wires. so the same current flows in both wires but it is much better to use fuse & switches in Phase wire (Live Line)

Great. So …to summarise if anyone of 95% of the components fail in a short state …pop😊so check everything
@HaseebElectronics2 жыл бұрын
perfect. biggest headache is short circuit in parallel lines. one component will become short circuit and it will cause to give beep in all parallel circuit as it is high current area, so we cannot allow to flow more current to allow to heat up that component so there is just one situation to check every component

I think after the bridge, if there is any components are damaged the fuse will not blow because bridge diodes not allow the current to flow in reverse direction to damage the fuse, I think so 🤔 Thanks for the informative video 🙏
@HaseebElectronics3 жыл бұрын
you are right, but in fact, when the heavy current surge and voltage stress exceed than the diode's current limit and PIV values, in that case the bridge goes away and it takes fuse with it as well. although there is current surge protection NTC or PTC but sometimes the spikes drive them to catastrophic condition

sometime 7805 makes problem or check capacitor at pin of 7805 regulator when 7805 makes internal spikes or its input capacitor cannot remove spikes, at that time it fails regulation and creates internal short circuit at input pin and ground pins

Is it normal for the AC inductor(s) to become hot when the TV is in use? My parents' TV died and I found faulty components on the power board (BN44-00525A). One MOSFET was shorted and it took two diodes and the bridge rectifier chip along with it. After replacing them the TV works fine again, but the inductors next to the AC input become hot during use and I'm afraid there might still be something wrong with it. The TV's metal rear panel above the inductors gets hot to the point where it burns your skin if you touch it for more than a second. The heatsink of the bridge rectifier chip is actually cooler than the inductors. Is this normal? Also thank you for the great video. It helped me find the faulty components.
@HaseebElectronics Жыл бұрын
inductor heating is abnormal condition it means that there is something wrong which is causing to saturate the inductor core. might be improper frequency is saturating the core
