Thank you for another great video. I know that you are aware, but for your novice viewers, the oscilloscope has a x10 setting, on its menu. If that function is selected, the scope will calculate the correct 162 volt value. As the x10 protection resistor is built into the scope probe handle, their is no loss of protection by having the x10 menu setting, from the beginning.

why do you put two resistor in each lead of probe,why it is requires during measuring of ripple voltage.if required it then how much value of resistor should be put on?
@alex.theoto Жыл бұрын
He use them just to make the connection. The probes are not connected on any of them.

thank you haseeb sir. What about ripple based on load parameter?. Maximum ripple when applying recommended maximum load .
@t1d1003 жыл бұрын
The testing method would be the same, but you simply would have the load attached. You are correct that this information may be the more useful. How the capacitor handles a load is what is important. If you have both measurements, that is without and with the load, you may be able to identify a capacitor that is weakening, or has a transient fault. Some more specialized capacitor testers do provide an adjustable, heavy load, with which to burden the capacitor, to look for leakage at their rated voltage value.

Is there something wrong if I find out the output of 5v smps in the DC voltage there is 5v and when i change the multimeter to AC Voltage i found 10v? It's a Samsung mobile charger.

Hello sir I am asking you if you can reply to my message thank you about a issue I can’t explain. I design a buck converter but the output voltage dropping even though there is voltage follower the duty cycle goes high when and load is added but voltage drop to 8 volt always , the input voltage is 60v from a power supply 1000 watts I use 4700uf for input filter and 3300 for output filter but for some reason I don’t know why the capacitor not filtering the ripple and holding current the ecr testing shows 9.0 % 34ohms the capacitor is large , i try using a old amplifier blue color capacitor 3300 not so big half the size of the big one ecr test 6.0 %31ohms the current was holding very will but the capacitor soon fail no doubt because it old I try finding the same capacitor but fail to find it online so can you please explain why the newer capacitor won’t work

Good video Can I know, should I use isolation transformer before of oscilloscope power in this case? Thanks
@HaseebElectronics2 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely we have to apply line voltage to the isolation transformer primary side and the output from secondary winding is to be applied to the oscilloscope

Sir I have another question please. I have an old 9v ac dc adapter i connected it to my multimeter and realized there's something wrong the reading not stable and the meter act wrong then i open it and found there is a transformer and a bridge diodes then i grab another multimeter and measure the voltage of the adapter and there is un stable voltage between 8 and 10 volts and i changed the selector to AC Voltage and found that there is 4v ac then i tested the 4 diodes and found they are fine. I do another test i connect a 9v battery to every single one of these diodes and measured the voltage in backwards and found out they leaks about 25mV. Is it normal? I'm sorry for the long question. Jazaka Allah khair.
@techguy6663 жыл бұрын
It's most likely the capacitors. Never connect a diode directly to battery you will damage them. Search how to test diode on the internet, there are plenty of videos.
@mtrltoolman3 жыл бұрын
@@techguy666 There is no capacitor in the adapter. I was powering the multimeter with an adapter instead of the 9v battery.
