So many channels seem to love to hate our country without realizing that most of our citizens are lovely people and we're not our government. Also enjoyed seeing your father aboard!! As a British guy myself I know we're actually really similar when it comes to regular ordinary people. We have similar goals and aspirations in my life and we all just want to be happy. You're our transatlantic cousins and our closest ally. We don't hate Americans, we dislike guns and governments but our own government is a pile of dicks too.

@@samn6498 thank you so much! I watch several international channels and sometimes it seems the most popular thing to do is hate on Americans and our culture. @@erinchamberlain1315 what international channels are you talking about? Because i watch a lot of BBC, France24English etc and it is very rare Sometimes yes they criticize us but it is very very rare In general, they just cover what is going on. @@larrybuchannan186 I like watching food tasting channels like the various buzzfeed channels and I understand it gets the clicks to make fun of American foods for having too much sugar or too large portions. I've also watched several REALLY great channels from across the pond that are very considerate and open to learning, like Kabir Considers. He's fantastic. I guess it's a general undertone to make fun of Americans.
@larrybuchannan186
@larrybuchannan186 2 жыл бұрын
@@erinchamberlain1315 Can you please list the channels? Buzzfeed videos are more like verbal wars, because I have seen quite a few videos in which Americans insult/mock other countries' foods, just by their expressions of disgust Buzzfeed food war videos are essentially verbal wars I wouldn't take them that seriously What about other channels? Any other channels names you can think of.

The price on this is obscene. Utterly ridiculous. Don't understand who in their right fucking mind would take this train, dumb tourists I guess. Rent a car, eat better food and stay in nicer accommodations for half the price. Rail should be cheap unless the experience is once in a lifetime. The train ride looked lovely and the food delicious, but I'm sure the relaxed time with your dad was the highlight of the trip! I've driven that general route on I-70 several times and been through and stayed in Moab more times than I can count on the way from my home in northern Utah and headed to various destinations south-east of me. I hope you guys had the opportunity to see two of the beautiful National Parks near Moab; Arches and Canyonlands. Plus, if you ever find yourself in St. George, do yourself a favor and go see Zions National Park, it has some of the most breathtaking scenery in Utah. I love your travel videos because of how honest you are about everything, and how much you enjoy the experiences you get to have. I look forward to your nice smile that lights up your whole face, and now I see you got that from your dad. I guess I'm different because I really enjoy driving all around the US, with so many little things that most people miss out on. Like just 15 miles south of Moab is this little place called Hole in the Rock, a 5,000 square foot home the Christiansen family dug out of the sandstone cliff beginning in the early 1900s. It's not huge, but it sure is interesting. We stop at every National Park we pass, not just for the natural beauty, but also for the Junior Ranger program that teaches our kids so much about each Park- plus they get a Ranger badge specifically designed for that park! Anyways, I think my point is to never stop enjoying your traveling adventures, however you do it!

Although Rocky Mountaineer is a Canadian owned rail-tour company based in Vancouver, it operates luxury scenic trains on four rail routes in British Columbia, Alberta, Colorado, and Utah. Over the pandemic, they bought all new passenger cars for their routes in Canada & after refurbushment, sent the old cars to the USA. It had a lot to do with the fact the double decker cars could not fit under the bridges on the US routes. I much prefer the double decker Gold Leaf cars because you can see more from the upper deck. And going through the Spiral Tunnels is a real treat for train enthusiasts.

Although I've never taken a luxury train across the western slope, I've driven from Denver to Moab a handful of times. The scenery simply never gets old, I love the contrast between the forests and ski towns to the sheer gray bluffs in Glenwood canyon to the jagged red arches in Moab. If anybody is planning a cross country road trip, I can't recommend taking I-70 enough!

So glad you are still making videos. I really do enjoy them . I know watching them can't even compare to actually being there in person. You are right about the Beautiful State of Colorado's ever changing scenery. Just like their weather. Literally. Glad to see you back. Where to next?

We took the Rocky Mountaineer Canadian trip from Vancouver to Banff and got a gold leaf car. It's two levels with seats up top having mostly glass ceilings for great views of the mountains and a dining room on the lower level. It was pricey but the service was excellent and the 4 hotels were very nice. Well... one was OK. Three were great.
