Magnus the Red. One of the most tragic Primarchs who did everything wrong and didn't deserve his fate. Tzeentch really screwed him over so much. Thanks for the video about him, he's my second favorite Primarch and favorite traitor Primarch. And having Zegram voice his quotes is perfect with how great he is both here and in TTS.

Ironically, one of Magnus’ moniker’s, “the crimson king”, is the same title given to the overarching antagonist of all of Stephen king’s books, meaning all the imperium would need to defeat him for good is to assemble a small ka-tet of knightly gunslingers

Lied to by the Emperor, bullied by his brothers and tricked by Tzeentch, Magnus was given a bum hand to deal with in life. Both him and Angron are just tragic figures that deserved better.

I think the implication is that Janus died a long time ago, otherwise we wouldn't have Kaldor Draigo as Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights today. He did however appear in the Beast Arises series, albeit very briefly.

Reading a bunch of comments here… I never thought *40K TTS* as a quality entertainment. Fan-made voice-lines are fun, and used to do similar stuff when KZbin was on its first year run. Back then I noticed a lot of “quantity vs quality” stuff of that variant of content. *40K TTS* is on the “quantity” side.

Chalk it up to his portrayal in TTS, but Magnus is definitely my favorite of the Traitor Primarchs. His story is definitely a tragic one and one couldn't help but wonder if there was something he could have done differently that would not have forced him to side with Horus during the Heresy

I felt magus was unfairly manipulated & judged in the beginning but after he was pieced back together by his loyal son’s my opinion changed!! He proved himself to be petty, cruel, wickedly arrogant & downright evil. His actions in the late heresy to the siege & the ten millennia since he’s shown his true colours.

(spoilers Echoes of Eternity and Fury of Magnus) The disjunction between the narrative in Fury of Magnus and Echoes of Eternity has been rattling round in my head recently... I don't get how what was said on the bridge can be true and what happened at the regicide table can also be true... Which begs the question of how much of what Magnus believes was true and how much of what the Emperor made Vulkan believe was true (I can't believe that Vulkan wasn't being puppeted)...

Not really, considering Magnus _did_ in fact kill Malcador. Malcador's later resurrection at the hands of Alivia Sureka is a detail that isn't relevant to Magnus's story/plot arc. If/when we make a video covering Malcador or the Siege of Terra then his resurrection will be explained, naturally.

@@40KTheories After sleeping on it, if I had to defend my position and offer some constructive criticism: Getting into 40k lore can be overwhelming. That's why videos like this are so important. However, you don't know the order in which people are consuming lore content. By stating that Malcador dies here, it could be pretty confusing for someone who had read about Malcador already dying after sitting on the Golden Throne. Or for someone who remembers this and then reads about Malcador's ultimate fate somewhere else. If it had been up to me, I would have added an aside that this death for Malcador wasn't permanent. But that's really my only suggestion. Loved the video otherwise. Please do some more. Was great to hear the TTS voice work again too.

Considering the books, magazines and other articles you would have to literally spend days reading/listening in order to gather the information, I would say a 30 minite video is indeed a brief overview. 40k lore is dense and I have spent hours going down rabbit holes just reading wikis, nevermind the dozen books I bought in a humble bundle, of which I have read seven. Besides, you can always just watch the video a few minutes at a time.
