This week, Uri takes it easy and loads up the PioSOLVER for an analysis of a high-stakes hand from the $40kNL felt. This one is pretty sexy. Check it.

Interesting spot. When I ran it (with slightly diff pf ranges), PIO did not bluff this combo at any frequency, choosing instead AsQx and AQs (no spade). This is because Ks9s and KsQx both b/f for this sizing so blocking Ks is very bad. It comes down to how many sizes OOP uses on river. I ran with B50, B125 and jam because I doubt Daniil is using 4 river sizings. Cool spot to see how PIO inputs will swing these river spots in a massive way when there are so few combos!

Isn’t BTn’s preflop quite capped? No JJ+ at all? This has a decent impact on turn strategy for OOP. You wouldn’t see so many block bet sizing with hand like 99s

Amazing content, Uri! Quick question: How frequently should one bluff against polarized size bets from uncapped ranges compared to unpolarized size bets from capped ranges? Is the percentage difference approximately 15%?

No clue but that's probably not a useful question to be asking. Always look for "why" questions rather than "how much" questions.

It situational, as it all depends on your value range and the odds you are laying to him. So lets say you can shove with 8 value combos over the polar bet, than you can only add 4 bluff combos if you give him 2:1 pot odds. Generally you have more value combos and you are giving him worse odds over a smaller capped bet = >>bluffs

my thought process in suicide spots (and I'm wondering if Barak / other players are thinking this): this sizing is overbluffed, I have the right combo to bluff with in theory, and I can't call because I lose to bluffs - so really the exploitative purpose of the jam is not to get Jx to fold but to get the Ax bluffs to fold? (and get KQ of other suit off a chop)

Let me guess, you're using high sensitivity/high dpi so you only move your wrist and not your whole hand? I use 400 dpi and I never had any wrist problems.

@@pierrearr yeah you're right, I do as you described. I have a good Logitech gaming mouse fwiw, but I can't imagine using 400 dpi setting when I have up to 8 tables on two screens. I'm on 2700 dpi atm :) The problem is the wrist position for extended times.

@@moebius1714 I've played up to 14 tables with 400 dpi, it's not a problem at all. I know it feels weird at first but you get used to it and it becomes your new normal. Now even 800 dpi feels too fast for me. I used a higher dpi before but after using a low sensitivity in cs:go I switched to 400 dpi on desktop.

Nice analysis. I just have one doubt. Why do you give so much importance to spades(the turn suit) combos on the river? Shouldn’t both players have less spades in their ranges due to check-check dynamic on the turn? I mean, OOP would double barrel more with the flush draw on the turn. Also IP would stab more with flush draw when checked to I guess, or maybe not because he wants to realize more due to low ish SPR. Shouldn’t the other suits on the flop matter blocker-wise on the river spot? For example, I think that a lot of OOP combos that cbet flop and check turn are gives ups that block the opponents folding range, which consists a lot of Ax of hearts and clubs which had backdoor on the flop. So OOP arrives at the river with a lot of heart and club air which can bluff. And that suits should be a higher proportion of OOP range rather than spades Am I missing something or is my reasoning flawed?

we like bluffing clubs because villain wont reach river with clubs at same frequency as other suits ?
@keniffkeniff
@keniffkeniff Ай бұрын
Yeah, they get barreled on turn a lot. and because OOP is not bluffing clubs since they block IP's folds. And that means they make good bluffs for IP since they unblock the bluffs of OOP. I want to know why KQss is a better bluff than A8ss A9ss or AQss, since As blocks AA and AJo AND unblocks bluffs just as good as KQss.
