A lot of things he makes up in his own head as well. He suffers from severe mental illness and without medication and therapy it gets worse overtime. I do think his parents did what they could there is no handbook on parenting. We have all fallen short. No one can point fingers at anyone when it comes to doing their best in parenting. It’s super hard to try and raise a kid with mental illness. Trust me I lived it and actually living it. First off their easily lead and the streets will swallow them up real quick. Do too their mental capacity.

Only Josias can save Josias. He is an adult now. Everyone has tried to help him. It’s time for him to help himself. Y’all want a better life for him more than HE wants a better life for himself. That man is an addict. He is fighting a different demon right now. He is facing the devil himself.

This is horrible. Basically these are just interviews airing out business about a young man's demise. Mind you, this is not a therapy appointment, nothing professional, so it's just gossip and strictly entertainment on here. We hear her side for what? How is this supposed to help her son? After viewers hear everyone's side, I'm guessing the objective is to come to the conclusion of who is telling the truth? Then what? Us figuring out stuff has nothing to do with any help but spreading this family's business in the WORST possible way which actually could cause worse damage to all involved. The viewers choose a side.... then what?? Yea. This a soap. I wish people would stop asking Marcus to help. That ain't his job. He can't help every homeless person he interviews. So for the viewers who like watching these, accept reality by not trying to pass this off as educational videos or that this is a good samaritan going out helping the homeless smh. We not therapist. So anything shared on here is just for entertainment, unless someone is seriously moved to help these people.

MOM - I want to make you aware that most background checks only cover the past 7 years. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), puts a restriction on how much of the past can be searched for most data. Google your state to confirm. If not, move to a state where this rule applies. Don't allow your background to keep you down. You were convicted over 7 years ago. You are only 41 years old. You have plenty of time to get your life back on track. God Bless!!

She took no accountability!! She uprooted him when she was unstable herself. She was fresh out of prison, prostituting for money, and living with other people. Takes NO accountability for being missing from Josias life from 3-14 years old! I don’t believe one bit that she took a charge for Josiah dad! She says they weren’t even together and James had another girlfriend. What women in their right mind would leave their 3 year old for 10 years for a man they aren’t even with. Both of them failed Josia. No one is taking accountability. They both is not being honest. At the end of the day this is their child, a child who is feeling abandoned, who ran to the streets for comfort and find solace in street drugs. If they truly wanted to save this child then they will put their differences aside for him but guess what they won't because no on wants to take accountability. Father's absolutely should be head of the household, however, that's why you should marry before you carry. Women make bad decisions on the men they select and then wonder why things turn out like this. Some of my childhood friends parents were so morally corrupted and money driven, they made my parents look like saints. I steal didn't appreciate my parents, but I didn't disrespect. Most of us are repeating the same lessons our parents did not learn from. I'm think either way parents should bring people closer to the Most High. I'm saying the Most High not religions. People just looking for answers in the wrong places. So did or does parents, dysfunction just becomes a vicious cycle that needs breaking. I use to think children didn't ask to be here nor ask for their parents. Now I believe more likely most asked to be here and their parents. We just forget the purpose and assignment. Looking outwardly, instead of inwardly. As a child you would not understand the song Harry Hippie nor Marry Hippie. As an adult you're thankful to understand.😢

I feel like the interviewer is biased against this parent bc of his relationship with Josias. He seems to assume like he has all the pieces of her life when he met this man as an addict. He’s taking his word as if he is an outstanding sober citizen. He’s making it seem like she is the blame for moving to atl or for josias being this way. If he is this invested why not take him to a free clinic that helps with drug addiction idk , he just seems defensive of josias and it’s weird bc he’s not a good person through and through as an ADDICT. I don’t see him asking the father nearly as many invasive questions, weird. Black men always have a different energy for black women, like we’re to blame for everything, our adult children’s mistakes, the way they live after being led and taught to be decent people when if we’re technical yes a mothers job is never done but once they are an adult, you no longer have the patience you had with them when they were children, not do you have to put up with disrespect or negativity from an adult. My Child or not. That’s why a lot of peoples children are so entitled and fucked up on drugs, YALL GIVE THEM WHATEVER THEY WANT EVEN WHEN THEIR IN THEIR 20s, this was not a thing in the 90s. Kids was itchin to leave the nest, now it’s all about leaving the nest as late as possible smh. Best of luck to this family though and pray josias is able to seek rehabilitation.

Josias reminds me a lot of the late Jean-Michel Basquiat. Creative, charismatic and rebellious spirit that could not fit into a conventional lifestyle. Jean was the same way despite coming from a two-parent, middle class household with a successful father. Mother apparently had some mental health challenges and was committed to a hospital. Jean started wilding out as a teen, ran away from home, hit the streets, cut all his hair off, got into drugs. He got lucky by having a love/talent for canvas art that brought him fame, money and legendary status. However, despite all of this, he could not shake his self-destructive, rebellious behavior and drug addiction which ended his life by age 27. It’s going to take a miracle to turn Josias’ life around.

All I see are a bunch of comments failing to hold this woman accountable for her part. If Josias’ dad spent 10 years of his life in prison this entire comment thread would be calling him a deadbeat screaming how he failed his child. “She’s pretty” “She speaks well”. Good for her! How is any of that helping her young son that is now a full drug addict on the streets? Let’s hold her pretty incarcerated self to the same standards you would hold his dad to. She is unstable and doesn’t have a home of her own. Before running to the courts how about make sure you are stable FIRST & have the tools your child needs to get better and be successful. Dad said she popped back up. This is what it sounds like is true. Her stripping him from his dad wasn’t going to save him. Second video she brags about selling herself and providing to buy Jordan’s… what a joke! Hold her accountable for her actions like you all hold his dad. Let’s be real and look beyond a “pretty face”.
