As I was putting the bag of circuit boards away, I found an even larger bag of RS circuit boards. Oh well....

@Timtron432 They are operating online, but don't have all the small components or how-to manuals. Surface mount electronics wasn't good for electronics hobbyists.

I loved Radio Shack. A person could get almost anything needed to fuel the imagination there. I used to buy loudspeakers and associated parts to build speaker systems including crossover networks back in the day. You could even find information there to teach you how to do it.

@adnacraigo6590 I remember the raw speakers and ready-made cross overs, connections, wire, etc. I repaired some blown speakers I got cheap with RS stuff. Worked better than new.

Oh, the real 1N34A's, loopsticks, and crystal earpieces I bought there! One Tic-Tac boxed crystal radio I made, picked up Radio South Africa off the phone's dial stop! Granted, all they ever played was the same 9 music notes repeatedly, probably to hold the frequency... Loopsticks, where are you?

@@Pygar2 I think some of my real 1n34a diodes came from RS. I do miss them.
