To calculate the Ultimate Moment developed on the beam, self weight of weight of the beam needs to be considered.

Thank you sir. One doubt in 3rd problem Why we didn't take factored moment i.e., 1.5*P*1 since we equate it to Mu which is ultimate moment right?

Mu*1.5 is used in Design of beam only for FOS but here the Q is asking about the max. load (max. moment Mu) that the beam can withstand. In short : 1) Mu*1.5 - Design of beam by giving the value Mu 2) In this case the beam is already designed and the Q is asking for its max load( max. moment Mu)
