As an aspiring architect-to-be, this might just be the single most motivating and inspiring thing I've ever come across. Because it truly feels like a home, and at the same time I could walk around in there for weeks and not have enough time to take it all in. Jaw-dropping. Not only the attention to detail, but the eye- and the vision for every little detail cannot be put into words. I'm blown away, I really am.

To me from the outside it looks like a box with glass around it. Inside looks over furnished, dark and claustrophobic. The windows give some good views but that’s about it. I wonder if postmodern architecture can produce anything beautiful. Everything looks like dull boxes.

That's the most beautiful house I've seen in years. Every element is poetic and sensual. Simple and extravagant at the same time. Those floating plates of glass on the exterior and linear siding. It's all just stunning work. A fine piece of modern art perfectly in sync with our time in history.

John Wardle is absolutely one of my favorite architects. I found his firm's work on social media a few years ago. He is so in tune to his craft. The level of detail and thoughtfulness found in his personal home is where an architect can really express his art, and John does indeed demonstrate that his ideas are endless. The home and furniture is full of surprises. I love it.

This is hard. Very hard. As a newly-licensed architect, I know enough to know I have a long LONG way to go to design something like this. The tilework. Damn. No unnecessary cuts. The space dimensions are perfect. Finishes should have been predetermined beforehand to ensure they all line up. Even then, it's not guaranteed. The custom furniture and millwork. And the fixtures. This is high-level technical skill. Jesus Christ.
