My brother owned a Sugar Glider for a long time. He named her Channee and she was adorable. He got her really cheap because she was a single birth and the breeder was trying to get rid of her because you're not supposed to have just one. But she was a super happy little thing that everybody loved and she was very sociable.

At some point I looked over to ask her about it and saw 2 sugar gliders sticking their heads out of the pouch she had been hiding them in. Very cute. Funny though, bearded dragons are on this list but not tarantulas. I'm rather happy for the exclusion, but I'd pet arachnids would be worth noting, (if my equivalent of your "people I avoid.")

That's a very interesting looking chinchilla. Is that what wild chinchillas look like? My sister had one and he was much more round in shape and maybe smaller. The most exotic pet we owned growing up was a Burmese python. We got her as a baby of course, and had to give her away when she got too big. For people who may not know, Burmese pythons can get up to 20 feet long, they primarily live in Africa (maybe Burma, someone correct me on that), and they have been known to snatch antelopes out of the air and eat them whole (antlers and all). So I would only recommend owning one if you have a professional zoo or sanctuary.
