My XT is coming in the mail today. The way you speak to the viewer is reminiscent of Bob Ross -very soothing and easy on the ears. I can imagine hearing you say "That’s a crooked tree. We’ll send him to Washington" or "Now this is a happy little slingshot. Practice doesn't always lead to perfection, but it can always lead to fun." Nice video! I will be watching your other videos.

Last time I owned a slingshot was in the early 90's and I made it from a piece of 1/2 inch thick PVC pipe. I cut the arms so they were swept back and 'rounded in' from the pipe curvature. It was cool but I used round tubing and had no idea how to aim it. I've had a $20 OTT one from AliX for about 5 days and already I'm hitting @ 20 feet around 85% of my shots on a 5" target. Too much fun.

@@411Outdoors I shot only simpleshot slingshots until my first real custom. I just wanted to wait and find a maker that had my style. It took a long long time for me to buy a custom. To this day the only production slingshots I shoot that I really enjoy is simpleshot!!

I was thinking of getting this exact model too because it’s the least weird/gimmicky looking one and seems to come with the high power black bands so I can shoot 1/2 inch rounds with decent force.

I have this same make model and color. I have had it for about 3 years but only started constantly shooting it over the last three weeks. I'm just starting to get some accuracy and I really am enjoying it. Great video, and I agree with you. The xt is a comfortable, good looking accurate shooter and its a must have.

I can see the size making the difference for recoil. If you spread your thumb and index finger as far apart as you can, you will feel tension in your wrist muscles. It's more difficult to bend your wrist when it's under that strain. That amounts to less movement on release. If you do the same experiment, but only spread half way, your wrist will be free to move. Secondly, with a pinch grip, your hand is still directly in line with your arm, not bent to the side like a thumb supported grip.

For some reason I like the XT. I will say if you don’t have at least medium hand measurements the LT is better but even if you have medium and up, the LT is still comfortable. There’s just something about the original

New to your page, what does the 4:11 reference?

I recently had to change it to 411 when I started my business because I couldn’t use special characters. This was my old logo. But the 411 has a double meaning, one, 411 is “information” but the second meaning comes from 1 Thessalonians 4:11 says to “seek to live quietly, working with your hands and minding your own business”. Thanks for asking🙂 4:11 was actually taken from one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It actually gave me the direction I needed to start this project. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 says to “aspire to live quietly, minding your own business and working with you own hands”. I just love that and that’s what I try to do. 411 also has a great relation to information as a whole. In other words information about outdoor stuff. You’re actually the first person who asked me the meaning of 4:11. I greatly appreciate it. Have a wonderful day!

I just bought one of these, it is that same color, and you are right it looks cool! Thanks for making an excellent video! As a Firearms guy, Airguns guy, bow hunter, fisherman, and now slingshot-slinger! Heck yeah, great slingshot, great video, I just subscribed! I smacked some cans, at 15 yrds about 40 times, within 100 shots. But Ive shot the heck out it like a kid with his first airgun, 410 shotgun, or bow, lol! My dad made his own slingshots from wood, rubber bike tubes, and leather from the tongue of a shoe, all his life. He killed a lot of rabbits, and other small game. He got me into this at a young age. Serious fun. Thanks man!

I have the XT and like the handle. Shooting with near perfect accuracy. Worth the cost in my opinion. Around $70 Canadian. Glad I got this. There's only one like it. Great for casual shooting.

Ha! I was Dunham's 3 weeks ago, and bought the Barnett slingshot. Also picked up a extra band, and two packs of white marble ammo. Last night my XT Scout showed up in the mail. Love the quality of it, and with a bad shoulder, I found it pulls way better than the Barnett. My neighbor has a range on his property with AR500 targets that my friend gave us from TA Targets in Ephrata Pa. So I also bought 3,600rds of clay ammo too hammer it with. Thanks for taking us on this adventure. I'm definitely taking mine for a lot of future hikes.

I've got the original scout and now I've got an LT. pretty cold up here where I live so I've been kind of holding off shooting it except a couple test fires. I got everything black. I do like the reduced size. My hands aren't huge. There any gold in that creek? I've got a pan.
