The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885. It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible. The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was: “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24 When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. In 1994 I was going through some REALLY tough times, a co-worker loaned me the New Testament read by Alexander Scourby on cassette tape, he said that he thought it might help. I later purchased the entire Bible read by the same. It changed my life. I've since listened to several versions but to me, none compare to Alexander Scourby. Thanks so much for sharing. This changes lives.

The reason the Scourby read through stuck out the most to you isn’t because he’s someone special but because he’s reading God’s word. All the modern versions remove scriptures and pervert doctrines such as the virgin birth, deity of Christ, Trinity, and more. In 1994 I was going through some REALLY tough times, a co-worker loaded me the New Testament read by Alexander Scourby on cassette tape, he said that he thought it might help. I later purchased the entire Bible reab by the same. It changed my life. I've since listened to several versions but to me,, none compare to Alexander Scourby. Thanks so much for sharing. This changes lives.

I think Alexander Scourby has the best voice for reading the Bible. Even though I think he passed on in 1985, his voice still resonates the beautiful words of the KJV. Thank you Jesus✝️

I am 61 years old. My grandmother passed away many years ago. She could not read or write. But she was a Praying Godly lady. She had this same recording of Alexander Scourby reading the entire Bible but on LP records. What a blessing to now hear these it not only blesses me spiritually but I feel like I'm continuing in my grandmother's Witness. Thank you so much for making these available

Yes more real no dramatization or inflections which throws a person off with weird music. Just narration so a person can digest and think about what's being said absorb the message.

@@ScourbyYouBible love your narration 1 honest question you've been in the kjv more than probably anyone of us out here and I ask "couch" "bottles" instead of bed and wineskins How many changes have you noticed in the kjv It's truly supernatural what is happening I believe it's because people were worshipping the book instead of the Author So He allowed changes to happen But it's honestly mind-blowing that it is happening at at great pace too alone of the names have changed its just strange Have you ever thought about it or had the notion that is not what I remember Heck I'm sure we could dig up old recordings of yours tha have different words in certain verses It's just really hard to wrap ones mind around

@@JCB-bc1lb, I'm sure you mean well, my friend, but consider this: 1. THE SON OF GOD said Christians are "the Children of the Bride Chamber" - those in attendance at the wedding. See Matthew 9:14,15. 2. AN ANGEL OF GOD said the city of New Jerusalem is "the Bride of Christ" - See Revelation 21:2,9,10. So, then, it is a gross misnomer for anyone to say that the Church is the Bride of Christ when Scripture contradicts that claim. Always go with the Word, JCB - not with popular misnomers that cannot be substantiated with BCV (Book, Chapter and Verse) from Scripture.

@@ScourbyYouBible So my mistake and I’m under the impression the word of God is free gift of grace through Christ our Lord. I as well understand where your coming from. You need to make profit therefore in quoting a bible verse it’s justified. I click on audio bible and do listen to initial ad. ,then for multiple of years have been able to hear uninterrupted books of scripture. Although now it’s the business model. Some people put this on and listen, unwind as they rest . Now you wish for me to click off ads every so allotted minutes. Let’s hope Jesus doesn’t go corporate and expect a cover charge to his kingdom and a maintenance fee to stay. As you say nothing is free. That is what this world system expects.

I really miss the Live Streams. You see, I don't mind ads and all (you have to make money) except that I love to have the Scripture play all night (hence the Livestream). I grew accustomed to listen to an ad, and then hours later awaken to have the Scripture still blessing me. Now, for example, I listen to Matthew and am constantly awakened by ads. Wake up, turn off ads, attempt to sleep. Rinse and repeat. Then awaken to quiet, open the phone, turn the app on, turn off ad, doze off, awaken and turn off ad, ad nauseam. Really miss the Livestreams. Note: The other night one of your ads was a sermon by David Jeremiah? That was amazing. Didn't mins waking to that! ❤ Thank you for your service to the body of Christ!

The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. Hi there, truly appreciate the work you are doing in uploading the Audio of the KJV Bible it is truly a blessing. However, with ads I'm finding it abit of the problem. The advert that was advertised just before was of a women with a t-shirt with drawings around her breast, captions saying she needs a breast lift. These videos can be tempting and can draw weak people away into sin. Please I'm asking if you if it's possible please consider there are souls that are not strong like others. If it's possible, please I'm asking you if you could please remove the ads from these videos or if not could you possibly make a playlist without adverts. I understand the money may be for the ministry but please consider soul's watching videos and tempting adverts could cause them to lose their way. Thank you for your time
