Thank you for you comment, I guess we'll just have to keep working so everyone can go to KZbin and see it. There is a couple of big problems with it playing everyone by everyone: (1) many don't take care to make sure the quality of the audio is the best it can be. (2) if everyone could just grabbed the copyright of others audios and videos, that would be theft and then you would be causing people break one of the ten commandments of thou shalt not steal. Copyright Laws were created to protect rights of people thay own intellectual property. That why Jesus said render unto Ceasar, the things that are Ceasar's and unto to that which is God's.

Opinion: As an agnostic, I find the bible heartening and enlightening. I think the reason why so many people these days don't read or hear the Word is because the church has established an ethical foundation for the people of the world, but then has been slow to grow from that foundation with the people. The old testament and new are both filled with faithful people and even prophets overriding or moderating former views in light of societal improvements and changing pressures, yet in the last 2000 years it is us who have proven ourselves to be a stiff-necked people, unwilling to heed the will of god (their conscience) and instead clinging to the interpretations of great people from bygone times. If a prophet of antiquity told his people that they must use a ladder to climb a tree safety, would we today take that to mean we ought not use fall arrest harnesses and we should make contractors get out of their cherry pickers to use a ladder? Of course not, it would be a recommendation relevant to the times based upon an underlying concept and meant to convey a lesson on values. So too do the churches cling to messages that were more relevant in the societal context of the past than today. What sin is homosexuality in an age of overpopulation and peace; can you honestly say that Jesus would pass judgment on that? As an extreme example: Premarital sex and promiscuity are still harmful, but so is mowing dandelions that would otherwise nourish the honey bees and this is not only accepted but encouraged. So we need to consider the reason for which the act pertains to sin to consider the extent of it, and this is time, culture, and situation-specific. For example, it is undoubtedly very harmful for your partner to be disloyal to you, but it is yet worse for them to be disloyal with the intention to conceive unbeknownst to you. Both are evil, but one is almost unspeakably evil and malicious, and can have far more severe life-long effects both emotional and economic. Then we reflect on the tendency to stone adulterers (but not those who commit smaller sins) in Biblical times, and no wonder! All instances of adultery were of this second kind as reliable contraception didn't exist! To not use contraception was pulling the trigger on a loaded gun, to do so with the contraception of the times was Russian roulette at best! Yet many churches continue to promote abstinence over contraception and deride homosexuality. The words are remembered but the lesson is not.

I have been listening to Alexander Scourby for a wee while but now my wife is joining me and we read this Chapter 1 together for the first time and then listened to this together too. We are looking forward to tomorrow’s reading and listening. We’ll be doing Chapters 2 and 3, seeing as Chapter 2 is only 16 verses long. PRAISE THE LORD! 10:51, Scourby misspeaks; 1 Corinthians 4:8 KJV, “Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.” As sad as this is, it only encourages me to continue to know God through his word, so that as I listen to Scourby I can catch things like this. No man is perfect, but God HAS perfectly spoken and preserved His word through men. I thank God his word will never change or pass away, and I thank God for imperfect men like Scourby that have given their lives to such work as this and blessed us so. Amen.

Yo, why is 1 Corinithians chapter 4 verse 8 changes to "gods" instead of the word "kings" which is what the true translation in the KJV? Is this channel safe to listen to with my family cuz I just caught it and my godly wife and I reviewed it together to make sure I was not having auditory hallucinations. It says "kings" on screen, and the audio says "gods." Changing God's word carries an especially harsh warning and curse with it. Hopefully, its not a Michael Heiser addict that's done this on purpose but I'm gonna be watching this channel more for other changes made to the KJV. I have the whole Scourby collection on CD and will be checking so it might not be known to you and if that's the case, I'm sorry because it's not your fault. How dare whoever did this. It might even be youtube or some Jesuit trick. This is a serious observation here and no joke 😢!

Yes, it the word "kings" is used in the AV. There were at least 2 versions of Scourby's narrations which are my personal favorite. It's just a strange thing that in this recording it says "god's." Thanks for checking and responding. Even the narrations are not infallible and only the written word is. I think it is worth playing these recordings on our phones out loud while in Wal Mart as they wage a secular and spiritual battle against our minds and hearts. Knowingly or not, that Old Serpent knowz how it works on us continually and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. I like the text and sound format of this channel also.
