This is by far my favourite riad on the channel. Its very romantic, poetic and that plaster work is to die for. Its interesting how the arches and columns have the exposed brick, quite a nice touch. I'd have been temped to really embellish those but the owner has made the right choice. Also it is one of the few riads I've seen which has played with scale with the paintings in the salon. They really work to make the room intimate and domestic but at the same time very regal. I can imagine myself maybe choosing contemporary photographs or paintings but at the end of the day, its the scale which really works. The garden is just gorgeous as well. I notice not a lot of attention to the terrace space. I have to say I'd be the same. It is quite hard from a UK perspective to imagine terrace life, however if anything I'd have a tropical garden with loads of shaded seating areas and a secret garden vibe going on up there. This is a great channel, it is giving me life!

It's interesting to see a single floor riad, but the terrace definitely looks like it could do a second floor - I wonder if it's structurally ready though given how old it is?

What a beautiful, inviting 18th century historic riad, a little different from most of the others in that all the rooms are on one level. The vast terrace offers huge possibilities. I wonder if the contents come with the property?

The huge problem with all the riad is humidity ! owners of riad must repaint every year the walls

Certainly the older Riads can be a bit damp on the ground floor. This is because their foundations are in beaten earth and capillary action brings ground water which "breathes" low on the walls on the ground floor. There are modern solutions to this. Otherwise, yes, you can paint every year, which isn't expensive.
