Damn, Brits soaps are miles better than ours. You couldn't get honest human scenes like this, it's all manic melodrama, especially now that they're fighting to stay on the air.

Aaron and Adam have had a bad year and a half. Between them they have lost: a boyfriend, a ex-girlfriend and a father. It's good they have each other. So happy they are mates. 😀😀😀😀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😅😢😢

WOW!!! Amazing job by the entire cast. Love Aaron's talk with Adam. We all seek someone to blame and go through the guilt of wondering "what if"? For Moira there's also the survivor guilt. And we all have to deal with the realization that we'll never see him, speak with him..or hold him again. But Aaron's wrong...it doesn't get "better". It just hurts a little less with time. Eventually you cling to the best times, but the loneliness never really goes away when you think of him. Thank you ED!

this was handled BRILLIANTLY, the acting, the dialogue. One of the most honest portrayals of loss and aftermath I've seen on TV. Hopefully they leave it be, no beating the horse, cause as it is they scored a win here.

This episode so powerful and impacting, Feel sorry Andy thinking that his Land Rover was the cause. So glad Adam has Aaron to talk to. Aaron's advice to Adam pitch on. Moira's last lines hit me hard. Oh how I know those haughty words in its truest form. They just ripped right through my heart.

@TheJuankatin Dear friend, I've lost two brothers and know the feeling too well. Lost my life partner and my mom in less than two years. Often, actions speak louder than words. Looking back we can only hope they saw through our day-to-day differences and knew that through it all we always loved them. It's never too late to remind yourself of that. Remember your best times, when you laughed together. It will get you through one more day, one day at a time. My heart is with you.

this episode was more powerful than the accident and the aftermath ending in John's death! i thought that was difficult, but the raw emotion these actors put out here is incredible and Aaron just becomes more and more adorable with every scene and i never thought i would ever use the word 'adorable' and Aaron in the same breath...

@winsboy WOW ... so you are still sad about whoever you lost. But I do agree, time heals ALL wounds and eventually there is no sadness, just acceptance and then thee are days and weeks where you don't think about the person until something triggers the thought and you ever smile or sigh because you can't share anymore. But the pain does go away IF you let it. If you keep embracing the pain rather than the joy of their memory ... then yes, you will always be sad.

@sanyrub Ditto. They really are best mates. Adam being there for Aaron as he found out who he was, saved him when he tried to commit suicide and again when Jackson died. Now Aaron gets to repay the favor. I love this friendship and unlike many othes do not want them to hook up. However, the cute rugby player who's cruising Aaron .. now hopefully he's leaving town with him when he leaves the show.

@suemorr1970jamaica I did a count at Wikipedia, and only six characters died from 2011 to present. In the same period, about seventeen non-minor characters left the village alive. Death is unusually common, but riding out of the village in a taxi or a police car is still more common.

@ 05:41 "I'm never having kids, me." And in such a downer of a scene, Aaron just gives her a comically quizical look of "Really? And I suppose you think that unprotected sex is the best contraceptive". I just couldn't help smiling... in spite of the situation and all of course...

@cyke90 That's Declan ... the landlord for the farm who's trying to evict them from the farm. Adam was dating Declan's daughter and was sleeping with her and Declan's wife at the same time. Adam is pissed because he doesn't care for Declan and he was the one that saved his parents ... so he's ticked that his Dad is dead and Declan is still alive.

I think the British soaps are better than American soaps because they are more gritty. If you noticed on Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Eastenders the people are not rich but working class people. The British characters are more easier to relate to than American soaps where everyone is rich and in business. The British soaps also incorporate older people more and treat them with more respect than American soaps.

@cyke90 There's a lot of bad blood. Declan is the landlord and investor in the farm and never cut them any slack in the hope that he could evict them. Adam also slept with Declan's wife while he was also seeing Declan's daughter.

@mlorocker Yes it was his decision. Most actors in British soaps don´t stay forever even if the producers want them. I like that. That they like to try new things. It´s the definition of an actor in a way. Hazel, Aaron and many others these last two years left cos of their own decision. It´s also hard to film everyday in that village for years, away from family and all that (I´m telling u what they always say)

@sbnevada I think it has to do with the style that the show is shot in as well. Emmerdale takes place in 'real' settings which lends itself to realism and they don't drag out a single plot line forever and use unnecessary dialogue. All Brit programming just tends to be so much better ... until you go to like HBO and Showtime which usually has MUCH better acting.
@hugyface

What I never get is, why does the family of the person that dies have to have food ready for everyone when they come to pay their respects? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't the friends, family, and neighbors be looking after the family and making food for them? Just wondering about that! It doesn't seem like the family would have the energy or the heart to look after everyone else, and they shouldn't have to!
@MargauxChanning
@MargauxChanning 8 жыл бұрын
All the food is brought by the people coming to pay their respects - Moira didn''t make any of it, that's why she's so happy Chas brought flowers rather than more food.

@CruzToxic Nicely said. So you are not a fan of your flamboyant brethren I take it? LOL. You remind me of a gay friend of mine who rolls his eyes everytime a "flaming gay" (his words not mine) comes into his eyeline. Straight guys fear the "attraction thing" not realizing that most gay guys aren't attracted to straight men anyway. And when I see the male gay straight friendships portryaed this well in the mida ... it does my heart good.
