Nice video! Can't wait for dyno results! Dyno will tell all, lol. My dad bought a 4430 back in early 80's & only green on it was on plastic pieces! When the dealership put it on dyno it was 245hp!! We turned it down to 180hp. That was my first time helping out in the shop (10 yrs old), start to finish.

Love the video, love going to 18.4 38s on a 4230 but not on a 4020, I would have to has put a wide front axle, not a fan of the trycle axle but they are rare on a 4230 because they were on there way out when 4230 came out. Keep the videos coming nothing like REAL tractors that were actually built to last and built simple, u will see very few E, D series junk make it to 11,000 hours

@@RennerStockFarms donde consigue el kit para turbo 4020?
@catchup44303 жыл бұрын
The MNW kid is Nate but would it be just more cost-effective do use a 4430 intake exhaust and turbo with a Robert Bosch injector pump and if that wasn’t enough you could bolt inner cooler 4630 engine set up and you can make up to 200 horse then with the bigger Robert Bosch part I want you to have to do is check the cams Because if I remember correctly 4430 runs a different cam then a 4630 with the higher compression pistons there’s no telling how much horsepower you could make
@RennerStockFarms3 жыл бұрын
Probably more cost effective to some, but the M&W kit adds a cool factor that the 4430 setup wouldn't. I should have been more specific in the video when I said "we are trying to squeeze the most horsepower out of this tractor." If that were the case we would do what you just said and use an inline pump and a 4430 setup. We are mostly just making this a better starting 4230 (with the high compression pistons) and giving it a little more pep (turbo and new injectors). From a restoration standpoint, the M&W kit makes much more sense because that was available in the aftermarket when this tractor was heavily used. We basically want a "stock appearing" 4230 that starts better and has a turbo, getting crazy with an inline and a 4430 turbo setup would reverse the restoration value, in my opinion. But anyways, that was long winded, but I appreciate your comment and the time you took to watch our build! Who knows, maybe my 5020 will wind up with an inline pump and a bigger turbo!

I’m a retired diesel mechanic I work for pro diesel or diesel sales and service and I can tell you that that DM standard time injection pump is at its max you might squeeze a little bit more fuel out of it but without going into it and making some severe changes you’re not gonna get any more fuel out of it to make a lot of horsepower your best bet is to put an in-line six cylinder Robert Bosch or a NAPA Denzel injection pump on it and have it set for the horsepower you want unless you find someone that builds these at home you’re gonna have a hard time getting up business to do this because of the EPA they will eat your lunch I used to bill pumps that diesel sales and service for the tractor tractor Puller The EPA in the mid 90s shut us down I actually had an EPA certificate for fuel management in-line pump can give you more fuel it’s easier to adjust and better timing advance than a rotary pump the first thing you lose on those rotary pumps is the The advance which is the housing wires and you lose flow or bypass and you lose advance fuel is horsepower and advance Timing is torque and that’s what we used to really do on tractor pull Is crank up the advance but also fuel and RPMs in the old days we said all pumps hot 10% but the EPA shut us down and we could only set to factory specs do you have a blessed day

Do you use your dyno to break the engine in? If it’s just a show piece will it be broke in?
@RennerStockFarms3 жыл бұрын
Generally we will break them in on the dyno. This won't be just a show piece, it will see some time on a plow. Should be a good time! 👍

I had a Injection pump in Los Angeles on a construction site and they actually went up to the company shut the piece of equipment down red tagged it pulled the pump off and took it in and running across a test and just to check the settings and my boss got a letter
@catchup44303 жыл бұрын
Pro diesel was a national worldwide company in fuel management I’ve had my parts pulled out of inventory and run across test stands to check their settings every time they did that they sent me a letter telling me that they were watching me that’s just how bad it is

Jake went to John Deere tech school after high school and worked at the dealership for many years. I am just farm trained and am in my senior year studying mechanical engineering. 👍
