So, sorry for your loss Pete, Mine is my buddy and rides with me everywhere, but hates loud noises so she cant go out to the garage when working. Half border collie /half husky. I had to fabricate my headers in the car at this point but the motor mounts and everything else was on the chassis. They made headers for every single ford engine I think except mine. 351c 4v. So I made my own. Nice job as always Pete.

That sucks about your pup mate, hope you feel better soon. I wanted to ask a question too. Was the motor mount part you bought bolted to the mount you manufactured? Or did you weld it to the part you fabricated? I couldn't see is all.

Hey Pete, after two 428FE engines I'm changing my my engine to a Ford 460. I just watched your motor mount video and like you ingenuity in building the table. To start off the install, how did you determine the height of the engine in relevance to the hood clearance ? How did you measure the room needed from the front of the engine to your radiator etc ? How do you figure the downward degree from the block to the tranny and to the center of the yoke ? I have thought of placing a laser on the crank, pointing it down the middle of the tranny then down to the yolk. I will appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.
@PetesGarage3 жыл бұрын
That's a tough answer. I did measure the body at several points to get the hood clearance. I used the mounts that came with the kit to make sure it was close. I like the laser idea.

Condolences on the loss of your furry friend. Who build that chassis? I thought that you need at least two degrees of offset between the drive line and the pinion centerline so that the U joints will turn and lubricate.
