Just saw this in Toronto last weekend and it was sensational. The lead girl was outstanding!

Love that they took the risk to change the choreography for this number. Don’t know their names but whoever that black guy is, playing Andy Lee (the choreographer), is super talented. Been seeing him in West End productions since he was in the ensemble as one of the sailors for the 2021 Barbican production of Anything Goes. Nice to see him moving up the ranks. And the black girl who played Hope Harcourt in that Anything Goes production is Peggy Sawyer here in 42nd Street.

I’m glad this revival is played straight. Oklahoma was subversive. Miss Saigon was reimagined.

Great snippet of a great show...and with a full cast, about 75 strong? Amazing.
@ThePolaroid669 Жыл бұрын
75? where? There's about 20 of them
@ferrierepc Жыл бұрын
@@ThePolaroid669 I was being theatrical in my counting but the original cast, both in the Broadway and West End original companies had an enormous corp of dancers....I'd never seen so many. I just looked it up and the cast is typically made up of 60......including the 3 leads. So, yes, 75 was an overstatement but these West End features use a few of the many, not all...and this is what I intended. Sorry for being so terribly misleading.

Great dancers and great new choreography..but i feel them zero organic with their movements. This sense of sharpness is not what tap dancing sould be. The soloist girl energy is too much. So it looks unnatural even though shes a great dancer .
@FlyBoyMT5 ай бұрын
You’re kidding right? Sharpness is exactly what a big tap number should be. Messy tapping sounds horrible and all over the place. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.
@laloibarra82175 ай бұрын
@@FlyBoyMT I'm not talking about the sound of the taps, clearly they should be perfectly synchronized. I refer to the overall body movement
