Cash account is ur asset, hence debit bal will increase its value n credit will decrease. Pass book is the book maintained by the bank in ur name, it's a liability for them(like a loan A/c which they have to return or pay interest on) so credit increases balance n debit decreases value. It's the same account of money being recorded by you n banker. We just match it in reconciliation statement. Any other thing you din't understand?
