My friend Brian's dad was an AA (Automobile Association) man and in helping someone who'd broken down on the motorway just outside Glasgow was given this album (on vinyl) and being the local freak it was handed to me and it blew my 13 year old mind! I can only assume the guy whose car got fixed worked for Virgin Records... maybe it was Mr Branson himself.

I love this album. Mysterious and beautiful. Always considered this a sort of sister album to TD's Rubycon. I was a young man when I first heard it. Still sounds fresh to me 30 years later.

I read somewhere that Epsilon in Malaysian Pale "The Jungle Railway is one of the great train journeys of Southeast Asia, spanning the length of Peninsula Malaysia through its rugged interior" & Maroubra Bay "Maroubra' is an Aboriginal word for 'like thunder' and the area was so-called for the heavy and sometimes wild surf pounding against the rocky beach"

"Rubicon" is still my favourite TD album, and I am sad that I did not also get Edgar Froese's "Epsilon In Malaysian Pale". The first part is like a counterpart to the electronics and sequencers. This is a very romantic, open and beautiful music which gives me tranquility. It sounds to me like walking through a big forest or jungle like in a natural cathedral. One day I may find an affordable CD of this. So long I can listen to it here - thank you for posting it, Tato!

Your description is apt, as he based it off his experiences in the jungles of Malaysia
