@@BoredLockpicker yeah for sure, but the pick would mainly just be for those unfortunate enough to lock thier keys in thier car. ive seen close to a dozen windows shattered by the little air bag you can use to force the door open from a vehicle entry kit. i figure spending 5 minutes picking the lock open beats paying for a replacement window any day of the week.

@@BoredLockpickerI’m also a technician at a ford dealership, bought this due to customer cars we don’t have access to key cut codes for vehicles 10 years or older. ( I think that applies for everyone? Isn’t the same database everyone uses for key cut codes) most the time the customer has complete lost the sets of keys so not matter of recovering them but a matter of duplication. @BoredLockpicker well out on the field I picked a 2017 fusion and couldn't get a good reading. So when I heard of this new lishi I figured that's why I got the bad reading. But then I heard it might only be newer trucks that use this. So I'm confused atm
@BoredLockpicker Жыл бұрын
It’s a different keyway. If hu101 fits then that’s the right one. Some of these keyways start over seas and it takes a few years before they end up here. They get named goofy shit like ford 2017 because there’s not a silca or ILco name for it. I know some 2023 fords use hu198 but so far I haven’t seen one in person. But 2017 fusion is definitely hu101
@segounlocks5029 Жыл бұрын
@BoredLockpicker Okay damn I been using a hu100, and someone mentioned in the autel forum that I'm using the wrong lishi on a 2019 vehicle. Kinda made me feel dumb but so far, my hu101 has worked on newer than 2017 vehicles. But that makes sense because I would assume that if it was the newer keyway, then I wouldn't have been successful picking the lock at all. Also, I always run my personal hu101 key in the door lock to get the wafers moving, so if it was a different, my key most likely wouldn't go in the door cylinder. Probably wasted money ordering something I won't use for a while. I only had one situation when I got a bad read with my hu101 lishi.

They can go in either way just like a key. I’m right handed so picking counter clockwise is easier. And it’s also really the only way I can film without my hand blocking everything. If I’m in the field and I’m just doing an unlock I’ll pick to the direction that vehicle unlocks. If it’s all keys lost I almost always pick ccw and take my readings just because being right handed it’s easier for me. If for some reason I don’t get a good decode I’ll pick it the other way. I hope that answers your question. Feel free to email me. It’s in the description.
