Chuck Davis right. You don’t that will mess up the curls at the ends will become nappy. If she just used straight hair then she should’ve curled it with curlers then dipped them in hot water.

How come you braid her hair then began to add (feed-in) the hair as you go? I notice it doesn’t cause the “knot” look but it also looks like it’s not as gripped either. This method is called Knotless braids. It gives more of a natural look to the braids and they usually hurt less.

Less tension especially since it's super long hair and yes, no knot at the root which makes it look natural. I prefer mine this way also since I get migraines from the slightest tug.
