@@270MOX When I said "documentary", I was referring to the one they gave the 2021 Razzie to: Absolute Proof. Hillary's America is an awful piece of propaganda, but it was theatrically distributed as well as being found on VOD stores, so anyone can see it (Unfortunately). Absolute Proof? Not so much. It's tough to find considering KZbin and Vimeo took down recordings of the live stream (It was streamed on One America News Network: a right wing propaganda site.) I get why the Razzies gave it the award (They'll jump on the political bandwagon when its relevant to do so), but I think the other nominees deserved it more. Especially since no one even saw or heard of Absolute Proof until its win.

The Bad Guys was robbed for the Razzie Redeemer Award since it was written by the director of Holmes and Watson. Then again, there's no Razzie Redeemer award at all at the moment, and this could be one of those years where they don't reveal the nominees for that category until the show itself, so there's still a chance. It would make for a way more interesting nomination than people like Adam Sandler, Robert Pattinson, Tom Cruise, and Nicolas Cage.

I also completely disagree with the nomination.I know that the movie's script is very controversial, that the director said many bad things etc, but it has many good aspects such as Ana de Armas' performance, the cinematography and the score, the film didn't even get a red grade on Metascore. In my opinion it doesn't make sense, there were much worse films this year. I think Blonde it's more there for the controversies than for the movie itself.

Of all the nominees I read, I think Morbius should sweep every razzie award. It was a terrible meme-fest Marvel film that gave away too many spoilers from the trailers, lacking delays, Jared Leto’s performance was mid, and suffered from the worst post-credit scene ever. Poor Michael Keaton, he didn’t deserved to be in the post-credits scene. Morbius was indeed trash. And some were weird nominations: Rose Kiera Armstrong was the only best part of a disappointing Stephen King remake that nobody asked for. So, Firestarter should win Worst Remake (if not, both 365 Days should win). I love Tom Hanks’s performance in Elvis, but I don’t think he’s winning Worst Supporting Actor (I do think he should win Worst Actor for Pinocchio. His performance as Geppetto wasn’t bad, but the Disney remake was weird and flat). I haven’t watched Blonde. Very divisive by everyone, but still a better movie than Dahmer. I didn’t get the Worst Picture nomination for Blonde, at least, you replace it with Black Adam for Worst Picture instead. As for Worst Director: Andrew Dominik should’ve been replaced with Simon Kinberg instead, as well. Kinberg just couldn’t able to break the curse of the bearable Dark Phoenix movie. Instead, he directed a female all-star espionage thriller that tries to be edgy and cool, but it’s an example of “where other female assassin thrillers go to die.”

They went all in on "Blonde" because it was an easy target due to the intense online debate and scrutiny, despite the fact that it has pretty passionate defenders and Ana de Armas will most likely receive a deserved Oscar nomination on Tuesday morning after defying her critics to receive Golden Globe, SAG and BAFTA nominations. It's also telling that they're borderline bragging about nominating it in every category and yet they sit and hold their tongues not to nominate de Armas. Major little d energy, if you get my meaning. In forty years from now, "Blonde"'s nominations will be as embarrassing as Kubrick and Duvall's nominations for "The Shining" were.

I don't think it's a good idea for these videos to only show the 3 main categories, nor to reveal all the nominees at the same time. Revealing each nominee one at a time creates momentum and excitement, and it justifies the existence of the video. Otherwise, why watch it when one can read the press release? By the way. Kaya Scodelario's name was misspelled. Perharps you're waiting for me to talk about the nominations. I'm sorry, but this feels like an uninspired year. There are nominees where it feels like they were only chosen because the ballots didn't have enough options. Each category had less than 15 options. Some even had 7 options. Isn't the whole point that the number gets considerably reduced with each round? Please, I think it would benefit the ceremony and by extension the organization to consider these things I've written for next year.

I've seen some people make the argument that the Razzies lost the balls to nominate Disney movies during the last few years. This is because they ignored certain movies like Artemis Fowl and Home Sweet Home Alone despite them being some of the most infamous movies of their years. I guess there's also movies with mixed receptions that the "Hate it" side are really vocal about their opinions on them like the Lion King remake and Rise of Skywalker, but I don't count those. I think the Pinocchio remake's Worst Picture nomination shoots down that theory. In all honesty, considering that this is the year they signed the Don't Say Gay bill, not nominating something Disney would've felt wrong. Same thing goes with Universal movies.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? Disney and Universal sent money to the lawmakers who were responsible for the Don’t Say Gay bill so they can get tax breaks. What went down in Florida has no relevancy to these nominations. They’re production companies, they have money, they have no real power into signing shit. Isn’t it obvious why they got pinch? Both Jurassic World franchise and Robert Zemeckis (cause it’s his movie) have been slipping for a while. Zemeckis has been slipping because he’s too hopped up on his visual effects shtick over the story and the Jurassic World franchise has been slipping because they stories have been getting downhill, especially with this recent entry.

But I have seen the end of the live-action one, where he did turn into a real boy. But instead of getting an actual person, they made the real boy CGI.
