I was going to stop after Caesar's death. Great story telling. Like the godfather you pulled me in again. The Roman mob remains the true hero in this saga. They did not blindly follow Caesar. They did not fall for the propaganda of the assassin's. Let's not forget the women. Calpurnia made some clever decisions. Fulvia made each of her men smarter. Clodius and Curio made better decisions with her. Antonius made much better with Fulvia than he would make in the future with you know who. The great Egyptian beauty. Fulvia probably encouraged Antonius to use his son as a hostage. Great narrating guys. I got pulled back in like a Corleone.

people can talk down on caesar all day but those three months' wages to Every single male citizen in Rome had to have shut a few of them up, if that happened in any country today people would be doing backflips.
