J'adore vous écouter parler ! C'est vraiment cool d'avoir 2 accents anglophones dans la même vidéo 😊 Même si c'est super frustrant que Sebastien ne laisse jamais Paul finir ses phrases 😱

I just love your content ! Do you think that you could invite Louis-san ? It could be really interesting to see the both of you talk about binationality and living between two different cultures. Anyway thank you for what you do !

I can see that you guys are a bit concerned about your kids' accents in English when they grow up. I had a coworker, French mom, English dad, who spent 6th to 10th grade in France and the rest in England. He could switch between French and English without having an accent. The key is to have your kids spending enough time in both countries during their childhood, and also speaking/listening/writing both languages in their daily life. It's super important if you want their accents to be "flawless", otherwise one accent will take over.

Watching this thinking of other comedians who speak in other languages, etc. I feel like an extremely obvious one would be Eddie Izard, also, do you know the British comedian with the character Marcel Lucont (real name Alexis Dubus)? If would be great if you could get Alexis on this show!

"C'est quoi la meilleure vaisselle que t'ai gouté ?" like food good could be in a different dish than a hot plate, that make sense :)

I wasn't going to comment but what young Seb said about USA v. french "dating" (I hate that term) interested me. I'm actually 67 years old,so why am I even watching this. I don't feel 67 (my hips and other body parts do) and I know I don't look 67 as most people assume I'm in my late 40s. I don't find this flattering. I find it bloody annoying. I know some people are puzzled by my not going to work every day. I want to say " I've done my 50+ years in the workforce". But I don't. It's a curse not a blessing. The thing is when I was young - when I was young,50 years ago ! - it was like Sebastian described how his french girlfriend, later wife thought. I'm English. I live in England. I live in the West Country. Here in c.1970 to 75 you met a young man at your place of work or at "the disco". Not in bars like in USA movies and tv shows. What women would want to pair up with a man who hangs out in bars!, AND what man would pick up a woman who regularly hits the bars. Sounds like the basis of a relationship from Hell. But what do I know. Maybe it's ok nowadays. Anyway you met this young man or he met you the young woman. You went out ONCE and that was it. EVERYBODY in your neighbourhood your workplace, your city ,it wasn't even a question,it was like an automatic process. You were NOW A COUPLE. After about 2 years going out with each other (nobody else) you were somehow tacitly recognized as Engaged and it was fully expected and it happened that about a year later you got married. This was not the medieval era this was England in the 1970s. The Swinging Sixties hadn't reached us from London until the late 1970s! That might explain why in the early 1980s there was a tsunami of divorces in my workplace as all those young women chose to divorce those young men and, well I don't know, find someone else, party, take on a career. Anyway the remark Sebastian made reminded me of that. I don't know how it is nowadays as I'm an old person, lol!

Paul, why would it be so bad if your kid turns out to have a French accent and goes to live in the UK in the future? It says a lot about the way you see people with a French accent speaking English. At the end of the day, people have accents because their language uses different sounds. Even within the same language you have widely different accents. It's not right or wrong. Would it be bad if someone sounds Scottish in England? Tbh I find this obsession with accents a bit strange, and I'm aware that making fun of accents has been a favourite in British comedy for 50+ years. Even kids cartoons always have the one episode with a French person with a thick accent. They won't let go, and it's kind of racist if you think about it. The way a person sounds is just the result of their upbringing, for which they have no responsibility whatsoever. Basically someone who grew up in a different place to yours is going to sound different. I get that it sounds "funny" to your ear, but how is that still comedy material today?

I don’t want to speak for them, but I’m Hispanic living in the US, and I worry about my daughter having an accent when speaking Spanish. It’s not about racism at all; it’s about the loss of my culture and language. At the end of the day, it is my responsibility as her mother to speak to her in Spanish, and if she has an accent it’s because I didn’t do so enough. Nobody judges people who are learning a foreign language, but it is way more common for people to judge others who don’t speak the language of their parents/family, specially if they have a very ethnic name/look. IMHO
