As the AI watched the Xorax retreat, he knew they would be back. After forty five thousand years, they have watched for the reemergence of their creators, not to reunite with them, but to finally wipe them out. You see, the Xorax were actually humans who quietly tried to rebuild in order to retake their homeworld from the AI's that rebelled against their creators. The organic Zallian forces were fooled for now, but now that their technology was intricately linked to their organic allies, it would not take much to repurpose those ships in order to fight, and survive the never ending assaults of their creators. The AI was correct when he said they were relentless. Once you betray humanity, they will keep coming back, stronger than ever, and eventually they will win.
